New and Improved TnT Foodie thread

Someone mentioned cinnamon raisin bread French toast the other day so I picked up a loaf from Wally. It is Sunmaid brand and it is a really small loaf so I don't think I'll be buying that brand again. Anyone remember the bread that came in a pink cellophane wrapper that had cinnamon sugar that would melt in the toaster then burn the hell out of your lip when you tried to eat it. I loved that stuff.

I remember putting butter and cinnamon sugar on bread and putting that in a toaster when I was a kid (maybe 5 or 6?) and so proud of being able to make breakfast on my own. This was the 50's so this fukin toaster got hot. Quite a smoke generator. Stinks pretty bad too. Mom, to her credit, just said let her work the toaster from now on.

I used to keep a container of cinnamon sugar in the cabinet to use on toast (post toasting with butter) and on rice with milk for breakfast.
