New autoflower grow , speedrun seeds / co2 . New system “for the most part “

Starting a new grow thread becuase I upgraded all my equipment and popped new seeds 5 and 8 days ago .

I popped 4 acid snow , and 4 boss battle , in root riot cubes with a light mixture of clonex solution , with orca myco , roots exculerator “kelp” . I put the plugs in 3 inch grodan blocks and in a tray , with a. Dome .

I mixed my coco loco and perlite up to a 50/50 mixture , as well as added some dynomyco , filled my 9 gallon 4 pot system up , and transplanted the 4 most vigorous plants . 2 boss battle and 2 acid snow . I took 3 of the remaining 4 and put them in floraflex quick fill 1 gallon grow bags , and set them in the tray in the middle .
I mixed up my reservoir , with 40 % canna coco a+b , 40% of recommended rhizotonic , roots exculerator , great white myco , 40% cal mag and 1g per gallon epsom salts. Mixed it up thoroughly and lowered ph to 6.0 . I have a small submersible pump in the bottom of my 12.9 gallon reservoir that constantly keeps the water moving around .

for the last two days , I have given them each a red solo cup of this solution . They’ve responded by fattening up , on their 4th set of leaves , and even have side branches after just 8 days on the acid snow ! Very dark green , no signs of deficiency at all .

right now I have my temp dialed in to 80 degrees , with lights on 6/2 off and being controlled by a manual timer - . Vpd is holding .9-1.1 , humidity is 67% , and with lights off im seeing 72 degrees , my fans , humidifier , heater , etc are all ac infinity and triggered with the 69 pro plus controller . Im seeing about 650ppm of co2 from the lung room air. Im waiting on my co2 bottle so that I can start implementing a strategy to drop co2 , and keep the fans from evacuating it all .

I’ll post several pictures when I get home - I just took my 6 year old daughter to learn to skate for the first time tonight - but I have lots of work to do when I get home . I did bump the lights up to 50% on the full spectrum side , zero percent on the reds / IR/UV . They immediately started praying . Can’t wait for two weeks to pass so I can stop hand watering

The white spots in these picture are from water droplets accidentally getting on them . My water is very hard and leaves spots as soon as it dries ,

Top feeding everything right now - keeping temp around 75-80 and targeting .9-1.1 vpd . Plants seem to be happy although I noticed some yellow tips . Not sure if it’s from feeding “first time getting nutes “ or it’s from an isssue arising . I gave them 750ppm solution of canna a+b , rhizotonic , roots exculerator gold , orca myco , great white myco , and calmax calmag . My tap water is 380-420ppm , so this is a very light feeding , in assuming it’s just a response from their first real meal .
I’ll update once a week IMG_3844.pngThreema_2024-10-25_17-20-41.jpegThreema_2024-10-25_17-20-50.jpeg

Did some topping on 4 of the 7 plants yesterday
They responded immediately by praying to the x750

I’m still too waterign them with a mixture of canna nutrients , with myco , roots exculerator , calmag and epsom salts .
I’m goin to run this batch for 3-5 more days , maintaining a 6.0PH , and next feed they’re getting recharge , great white , as well as canna coco recommended nutrient line . Since coco loco is essentially soil , I’m not sure I need epsom and calmag every feeding ? I’m also moving my carbon filter outside the tent - so that I can gain 12+ inches of light height - and encourage some heavy stretching over the next 3-4 weeks.

The one acid snow in the 1 gallon bag has exploded ! Things are starting off very smoothly , and I believe that this grow will come close to my goal - 2lbs total - albeit probably becuase I have 3 more autoflowers in the 1gallon grow bags .

Just mixed a 12.9 gallon batch of nutrients up

45ml of canna A and B
45ml of rhizotonic
60ML of Cannazyme
14ML of roots exculerator gold
35 grams of recharge
13 grams of Epsom salt
And bulletproof si silica

total ppm was 850 , with the tap water accounting for 400ppm

I moved my carbon filter outside the tent and raised my light up another 12 inches . This kind X750 is one hell of a light is all I can say !
Temps are holding at 82 degrees lights on , with RH in the 70% range for a total vpd of 1.1.

now if only I could get the t3 humidifier to work with the controller . I think I’m gonna replace it with the larger version soon .

The plants growth has started exploding for sure , and I think want to get them to continue to stretch and bush . I used the photone app and ppfd is 350-400 at the auto pot plants . Ironically the lower plants are in the 250 range “in the quick fill 1 gallon” and they’re growing faster it seems.

I’ll be back in a few days to a week with some progress updates and pictures .

So yesterday with some helpful advice - and my light all the way up , I decided to turn my kind x750 upto 100% . This was giving them a ppfd of 790 at the autopots and 600 at the 1 gallon pots in the tray in the center . In 24 hours these have exploded . The second picture is a 12 day old plant that has been topped . They’re getting about 750ppm atm , and 380-420 of that is my hard well water .

I have a feeling this grow is gonna be a heavy heavy dank one .
Question , how long should I wait to turn the autopots on ? The front two and the furthest one right in the tray , are 14 days old , and the other 4 are 12 days . I know most people say 3 weeks but these are pretty big for 2 week old autos from seed ‍♂

Looking great. Keep it up.
Im also using Canna at the moment so want to compare to other Canna coco growers. What PPM scale are you on?

500 scale . I’m using 40-50% of their recommended dosage - with hard water . Also adding several other supplements like kelp/myco/epsom/ etc

Not related to this grow in particular but figured I’d let yall know , I plan to keep this thread alive through multiple grows . I received my nightowl packs today !! Impressive is all I can say.

I ordered 5 packs , 3 seeds each . I received 6 packs with 6-7 seeds in each one . Over 40 auto seeds for 250 bucks . Not to mention the black light key chain , ashtray , rolling tray , papers , stickers , chocolate bar - key chains etc etc !!

I have to say , daz at nightowl and Ben at speedrun seeds , put a ton of effort into presentation , and both give plenty of extras with their orders ! You can not go wrong with either .IMG_3997.jpegIMG_3987.jpegIMG_3988.jpegIMG_3989.jpegIMG_3992.jpegIMG_3991.jpegIMG_3990.jpegIMG_3994.jpeg

That is a lot of seeds for the . I just received today Daz's Naptown and Ben's Granite haze is on its way. I like the way you think.
I have a tester that’s granite haze f5 x iced latte I believe , that I can’t wait to run .

testers are so much fun because you really have no idea what to expect - same with mystery seeds .
Can’t go wrong with SRS or Night owl

Question , how long should I wait to turn the autopots on ?
I use the Tray2grow and I did the mistake and watered them every day after transplant, it took a week before roots poked out the bottom of my fabric pots. I then turned on the valve and got some more root dev during the 2 first week of flower. But nothing compared to the other ones that I neglected and only watered once in 1 week.
So next round I thought to water directly after transplant, and then let it almost complete dry out before giving them more nutrient solution.
I am not sure if Autos might just start flowering if you let it go too dry so be careful If you go this route.

I turned them on and gave 60ML of solution from the top .. I’m watering around them , trying to avoid the grodan cube to promote horizontal and vertical root growth into the medium

Day 15 , and I finally gave in and turned the reservoir on . I’m gonna continue to water outward , lightly to promote root growth .. I went slightly higher on the reservoir this time , I skipped the recharge but used everything else previously - with more canna a+b to bring my ppm upto 850 “slight increase”

I defoliated the two plants in the left two autopots. I also attempted some lst and snapped 2 branches off the acid snow … bonehead move , but it bounced back quickly .

I’m about to use some of these clips to get more horizontal growth . These work phenomenally , as long as you have enough node spacing to fit them - otherwise I recommend cutting the pot and using zip ties and plant tie wire to get the job done.

So the lst didn’t go so well on one acid snow . I ended up breaking several side branches lesson learned .

this time around with the coco loco , I have 3 plants already as large as my last grow - and they’re only 2.5 weeks old !

I honestly believe I can lean on them a little harder . Last batch was 850ppm , 380-420ppm accounted for because of my tap water !

I honestly think i didnt wash/buffer my coco enough last grow . That coupled with the led snd underfeeding led to a nasty calcium/magnesium deficiency that absolutely stunted them badly .

the ac infinity has been a godsend , as the temps in my porch get chilly at night . I can keep them around 70* with the light off , and 80-85 on . All while being 25-40* Fahrenheit outside .

I think a combination of the cocoloco , new equipment , “ possibly the kind x750 over the fluence spydr 2i 650w , “as well as a buddy Heater on my porch , making tons of co2 that’s drawn into the tentare responsible for much more accelerated growth I’m seeing in round 2 .

If I could pull 8oz per plant , aside from the one I stunted - and if the one gallons yield 2 Oz per , with the stunted one going 3-4 , I’d hit my goal of yielding 2+ lbs in a 4x4 tent .

I definitely need to do some cable management in there this week , as well as figure out why the back right autopot “largest plant” isn’t filling. It has to be plugged somewhere ..

as long as things stay going as is , I definitely believe I’ll get there .

I’ll be back mid week to post new pics !

Day 17-19 I believe . Did some defoliation on the larger ones a few days ago .

They’re bouncing back effortlessly . I have a feeling they’re gonna be some very good sized autoflower in 3 of these pots .

I think the buddy Heater keeping co2 around 900-1000ppm in the tent , coupled with heavy intensity , and lots of humidity , are helping with the rapid growth . If these were photo periods I’d be flipping them already .
As long as I can get them to the finish line , without having to press the brakes ., I think this will be my heaviest yield yet .

I think instead of starting a new thread , I’m gonna re title this and continue my next grow “Nightowl” and possibly a couple of high end breeders cuts , that we got from pops genetics . Cap junky , white truffle , forbidden fruit and lemon cherry gelato , are the cuts we received .. I also have some exotic genetix gear to run . It may be time to upgrade to another tent or two , with two more autopot systems . IMG_4153.jpegIMG_4152.jpegIMG_4151.jpeg

Also like to add , last grow I ran 24/7 - this grow I tried a unique light schedule of 6on 2 off , and that may be contributing to the rapid growth - making the plant think that each interval is day/night

lol you can never have too many beans

Just received some photo beans from exotic genetix . Packaging and extras are phenomenal as well . Can’t wait to run the GYAT and apes in space . I’m very curious about the laser bomb and Halloween deluxe as well ,

these guys definitely all go above and beyond for their customers , and I’ll be a returning customer for Ben daz and EG for a long time !!IMG_4164.jpegIMG_4163.jpegIMG_4162.jpegIMG_4161.jpegIMG_4160.jpegIMG_4158.jpeg

increased the solution to 1000 ppm , which was 70% of recommended light feeding from canna coco , with hard water . I also added great white myco , roots exculerator gold and epsom salts . I did this yesterday afternoon , and they are definitely exploding . I plan to do some light defoliating , to allow light into lower branches . I want to maximize yield as much as possible this grow . Keeping humidity around 60% right now and lights off temps are 73-75* lights on 82-84* .

I was going to do some lst on them and still may but right now they’re just kind of doing their own thing and it’s working !
Co2 is a steady 900-1100 ppm with lights on , which I believe is attributing to their rapid fast growth .

I don’t have a dehumidifier yet, but with freezing temps inbound and insanely low humidity , I don’t believe that’ll constitute too much of an issue . If I need one I’ll get one for sure .

After heavy defoliation , this lady exploded , as well as the boss battle next to it .

I have a feeling I’ll come very close to my goal this time around. it doesn’t look like 9 gallon pots for a 4 week old plant that’s for sure
