New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

So we all know by now me and @JustCallmeMom ask lots of questions cause we're nervous Bettie's. Haha. What actually grows as a new two colas? After topping my plants I'm wondering what to keep an eye out for. Is it the leaf sections? Or the middle where the top got cut and the pistols coming out around the top? I know dumb question but I don't understand and this is first time topping in my life.

I'm also nervous about everything I do, so I like this discussion. I have two plants at 1' tall now, so I think it's time for me to start training them with topping and LST.

So I let mine grow for one month in veg before topping them. IMO I think I waited to long. At that point they are tall. And I want short and bushy stumpy bitches that flourish. At the end of grow j want my plants no more than 60" tall give or take. Somewhere around 5'

The new growth comes out at the stem, at the base of the leaf. Just watch carefully for a few days and you'll see.
 
So, I have a plant that's growing real weird, suddenly. It's lop sided. I was thinking about topping it just to give it a redo about being symmetrical. Maybe I should just end it? Thoughts? (I potted this before I knew how much the soil would settle. Derp.)IMG_201 (2).jpg

Keep it going man. Lol. What's the rush to kill shit. It's Mother Earth brother in a bucket. Keep it living and see what happens. I look at it like killing a baby because it has an extra toe. Nah help it along and see what happens. If the child has spinal ditastrophy totally diff slit it's throat. Yes I'm awful. Jk. I'd see what happens. Your already slightly invested in her.
 
Some will start from this size to answer your question. I didn't know this going into it. Basically you want a healthy plant that can with stand the stress and after all they most can because they're WEEDS. Their job is to grow.

I have one of those. I call her three leaf thelma. I accidentally tore off one of her true leaves popping the cap off. You have to be tough in my garden. ;)

I don't recall if you're in a tent or a room. If you're in a room, flat white paint with a high % of silicon dioxide is both inexpensive and highly reflective. It's not as good as orca, but it's probably close to panda. You'll have to dig into the tech info on the mfr websites, but I if memory serves (risky these days) I think Benjamin Moore has a good one

Panda is washable and keeps your walls in good condition.
 
If anyone is interested in a light mover system, I may have located a couple of 6 footers and a 12 footer. I have dibs on one of the 6es :)

It's a room, but I'm splitting it up by hanging/making a light frame for plastic so I can run 3 rooms for a ideally 4 plant harvest once a month, once it's all figured out.

You can run the bloom portion of your perpetual all in the same room. You can run all your veg stages in the same space, as well. This makes it a lot easier to deal with in terms of space requirements.

If you have two bloom rooms, consider running them on a flip schedule; one runs for 12 hours while the other is off, and then the reverse. I did this with a water chiller based HVAC plant and it's been very effective.

I love this site, no one yells at me for my questions! AND, speaking of topping (i think me and double think alike) I was JUST searching the net for info on how to top sybil and try SCROG. I found this awesome tutorial HERE and it tells to start when you have the 5th set of leaves. OK, what the hell is the 5th set of leaves? LOL. Does sybil have hers yet?

COOL....thank you. I took her out of her condo and really inspected her. ..Im not sure about the 4th because the leaves are all together. but i will wait a bit and watch what she does.

Light movers help point sources of light such as big wattage HID lights spread their intensity over a wider area. Don't try and move them very far or you'll just end up with insufficient lighting everywhere.

Honestly, saving your money and getting COB LED will be a better solution because they do this without needing such equipment. It's one reason they give better results with less watts.

In fact, MA has already passed placeholder legislation to enact higher efficiency requirements for Cannabis production. Here in my city in Colorado, it's already against city ordinance to use HID lighting indoors for safety reasons. They're tired of fighting house fires caused by morons using them irresponsibly.
