Oh, I checked out your grow journal. Recheck the pH after your water sits out for 24hrs. Mine drops from 9.x to 6.x overnight. Decided to check already ph'd water the next day when I started germinating and it had dropped down to 3. Which reminds me, I need to get an EC/ppm meter, like, yesterday. lol.

Thank you for checking out my journal!
I found my ph goes UP after sitting, just checked it today. isnt that wierd? how long can you leave a gallon on the counter by the way...before you should dump it and redo? (when babies are little it takes me a while to go through the gallon I mix up.)

For seedlings, Walmart sells RO water for about $.99 a gallon. Still needs to be ph'd though

Definitely stir your water before checking. Things might be settling. Also, if you are using tap water, the chlorine evaporating will also change the pH.

Neat! As for how long, good question. No clue. lol. With 4 plants I just started with a quart and worked my way up.

This place is a trip at times :-P but it seriously has a wealth of knowledgeable growers and most are very willing to help.:peace:

I'm currently running Bodhi Seeds MSSxAppy, WolfPack, Blood Orange, and Bad Dog Genetics DeadHead OG. They broke ground about 3wks ago. I'm going to "attempt" a grow journal again and will be sure to tag you. The first attempt went horrible awry.

Side note for the Bodhi heads reading - I "probably" should've updated the Bodhi thread because I'd promised pics to ppl that were anticipating running strains from GLG Bodhis 420 Promo. As embarrassing as it was, I've decided to post about it here rather than the incredibly long Bodhi thread - this is what happened.....

The fam and I decided to go on an end of the season canoe trip since fall approaches quickly here in the N. East. Water levels were low on the river which made it really boney and difficult to navigate. The weather kicked up suddenly and in the mad dash for shore we capsized - losing everything to the river. Beers, camera, all our gear. The one thing that remained dry was my pot! LOL. Its funny how we prioritize what gets selected for the waterproof boat bags. :bigjoint:

So yeah, the fam has yet to let me live it down because it was my foolish error that turned things into a shit show.:dunce: LOL. It was quite the scene on the river that day. Husband pissed about his beer, daughter pissed about the camera, sons pissed because they had to retrieve shit...oh and the beer. Everyone was pissed about the beer. :cuss::clap: :finger: :lol:

But yeah...Welcome to RIU:hug::P

I'm going to have to call the town and ask about water treatment. Ph and TDS ppm readings are the same after 48 hrs on the counter (and yes I turned them on and took the shipping plastic with the numbers off :) )
8.1-8.2 and 232ppm. Water from a nearly exhausted Brita filter reads 195. I'll have to check when I put in a new one.
Now I'm curious what the hell we've been drinking for the last 40 years

And speaking of water ... I now know that you have to spray the surface of FF Happy Frog to get it moist enough to soak in unmisted (gently poured) water instead of just letting it bead up and run right through the pot. DIY lights are way easier ;)

I'm about a week behind you with my Blue Widows ... today starts week 3. Since I have no idea when or if they'll ever sort out uploading photos again, I've started a grow dairy at https://growdiaries.com/diaries/994-dinafem-blue-widow-1st-grow. Cheaper if you use their RO unit. Its .37 after you purchase the container/s. I have 6 5gallon jugs I fill 1x wk. Cost less than 12 bucks for 30 gal. It is a PITA but worth it if you cant or don't have an RO home unit. In the summer I just use rain, lake, or if my kids feel ambitious I'll have em fill 100 or so jugs at the one of the local springs. My tap water is hard, with a pH around 8.6 with PPMs ranging from 205-260. I'll cut my clean water with it and let it bubble for a few days but thats it.

My advice for anyone else regarding your H2o -
Some elements cant be bubbled/evaporated out.
Get a good TDS and pH meter so you know what you're starting with.
Or you can go get a free water report from your towns municipal/city bldg, water dept

I prefer RO when indoors in containers because it gives me complete control over what goes in.

Thanks I'll be sure to check it out. I've run a few from Dinafem. I think Blue Kush (the name escapes me, was good but not memorable or a keeper) and I ran their Amnesia. I didn't care for that one either because it reeked of black licorice/anise. However, I kept it around a while because folks seem to love it.

Couple of weeks, easy. Just stir it before using some. Keep it in the dark once you've added nutes to it.

Welcome to all-Us Massholes just keep coming out of the woodwork-myself, glad to see the ladies coming in(growers) Had a great visit with JustcallmeMom today and gave each other some nice gifts-that's the attitude! Just one issue, apparently some people are being rude to these nice ladies and that in my mind is unacceptable.No excuse for bad manners- we are here to share ideas. My White Widow autos are getting fatter and stinkier by the day;getting there,but still clear trics(patience), next grow 9 days in and 3" tall-all good.Need to make some more butter and send it to ttystikk if he's off his meds like Big_Lou says LOL
