well i am going to veg these bagseeds until i start to flower my blue cheese when i get them so however long that may be. but my blue cheese will only be vegd for 2-3 weeks at the most and about 9 weeks flower. if you want a harvest every 2 months then you should a strong indica and dnt veg at all just start her at 12-12. it will cut down on your yield but i can meet your time frame.

you really should enclose those plants with something. you're losing alot of light. and you probably know this already but that room is going to have to be completely sealed off before you flower anything in there. right now you have alot of light leaks. what are you planning on for lighting once you decide to flower them?

i was going to enclose them but they were doing fine without me doing it so i never did. i had planned on getting a 400hps to flower with in a couple weeks. the light leaks i have let a little light out yes but when they light inside there is off it is dark in the main room any way and i was going to make sure of that during flowering.

i agree that theyre doing fine without enclosing them but they'll do better enclosed with reflective material. i wouldn't use that tin foil though. emergency blankets from walmart are like $1.50 - more reflective and no hot spots. you'll tweak it as you go. theyll turn out just fine.

Try the MG Organic soil...I have heard that it isn't toooo bad....It dosen't have the time release nutes in it

if you have to go low cost just look for anything has no nutrients added (even the mg organic does have some nutes in it) and get some perlite to add better drainage. cheap soil is not a problem as long as it has no nutes so you can control whats being fed to the plant and you add perlite for proper drainage. you don't want it to turn to mud when you water because the roots need oxygen also. if you get the MG organic i would suggest letting the bag sit open to dry out for a few days. the lack of moisture in the soil will kill the knat larvae and then you can dampen it again before you plant. Most potting soil you find at walmart that says "organic" is going to have knat larvea in it. as soon as you open the bag if you look closely you'll see them. thats why most of these guys use the more expensive sterilized stuff.

What kind of soil are you using? Looks like some gravel in it. Did you dig it up in you yard? Its very clumpy. Most any commercial potting soil will do. I have used MG and never had gnats. I mix my own. 1/4 coconut coir (boycott peat moss), 1/4 vermiculite, 1/4 perlite and 1/4 work castings. Mix it all in a plastic bin and keep it for whenever you need it. And do let your plants dry completely before watering. Your plants roots like water and air but your plants should never wilt. I am using CFL also. I wired a 4 light bathroom vanity fixture ($15) to a power cord ($10) added 4 Y splitters ($10 for 4) and using 8 20w cfl that I bought for $1 each for a fund raiser. Less than $50 for 12k lumens using 160 watts. The lights are 2700k - would rather have 5000k+ but I am only getting them ready for outdoor and I am such a cheap ass.
