does anybody know whats up with these new digital energy meters the power companys are putting up? got me kinda paranoid.

Then digital watches, cameras, alarm clocks, timers, radio dials........etc.................etc.........................etc............................must scare the shit out of you.

no dumbass. i heard the energy company can tell what your using your energy on with those. so if im running in my 400 watt in my house for 18 hours a day is looks pretty suspicous. just wondering if this is true.

they are now made so that they can check your meter with getting out of there trucks
they can now just drive past check/ cut off /cut on or whatever

its nothing to worry about. they are in place to reduce/ eliminate the need for a person to come read your meter. if anything, it is better for us as this means they are on our property less if at all.

when they install the meter they don't come inside your house, just cut your power for 20 seconds while they switch out the meters.
