Yessir! I say it every day to guys in their 30s. Your biggest asset is your time. You see 70yo dudes working at McDonalds...is that because they are lazy? No. Its because no one ever showed them how to save and plan. It's so sad.Time is the biggie. Start young and if you are working when you're 70, it will be because you want to, not because you have to.
hey everyone
Back for another season. Apologize for starting a bit late. Can’t wait to get outdoors again.
Hey, I am also in MA, this is my 3rd generation grow but first time outside. I have (3) Sativa plants that are now close to 8 feet tall, I topped once already and have pruned. With recent heat and rain the outdoor plants are exceptionally healthy. I have had very good results with my indoor grows (pic attached), but inside I am able to program lights, ventilation etc.. I am concerned about ambient light outside (street lights etc.) affecting the flowering stage. Can anyone locally advise me when flowering should start and if this light situation is a concern? Thnx. Some pics of mine in Massachusetts this morning, growing well however we have been getting alot of rain. There is one branch on each plant that is growing purple leaves, I hope they grow two different looking buds.View attachment 4180687 View attachment 4180688 View attachment 4180689
I'm year 2 outside so I'm no expert. My hybrids last year showed actual budlettes on Aug 15. This year was a little earlier for some, especially my sativas. They started pre flower like 2 weeks ago.Hey, I am also in MA, this is my 3rd generation grow but first time outside. Ambient light was a concern for me last year, but I never had any negative repercussions. I would go out at night and see the landscape lighting, and the full moon, and inside lights from the kitchen and basically be able to see the plants perfectly. They didnt give a shit. I just assumed that for outdoor plants this was less of an issue then I've heard it is for indoors. Obviously you prob don't want direct light on them, no clue what that would do, but light pollution light hasn't hurt me yet last year or this year.
This was last year. (first attempt/white widow/7gal pots)

No, I know...its just that I've heard nonstop how hard it is to grow and it will never finish in time and on and on.We'll as long as it still healthy and doing good. Don't be getting all bummed out already. lol
Hello brave soul! Sativa + our climate = problems. You can get her done as long as it's not a 10-whenever she feels like it scenario. My Rosetta stone is a couple weeks into flower already. Gorilla glu is about 10 days behind. Rosetta is 75% sativa but flowering has been shortened by a few weeks and apparently she early too. If you had them on 18-6 they started the night you moved them out. Photosensitivity is more like a taught behavior not genetic. Always gotta be careful of light pollution during flower. Hope I helped.Hey, I am also in MA, this is my 3rd generation grow but first time outside. I have (3) Sativa plants that are now close to 8 feet tall, I topped once already and have pruned. Kinda looks like a contradiction lol. 2 plants grown in the same indoor cadence moved outside can and most likely will start a few days apart. It's all about the red cells.Hello brave soul! October 5th and 10th. Im on the south shore of MA. Both were fem white widows from ILGM grown from seed. When did you wind up harvesting last year?
Took the last of the haze first week of Nov. Had to create a controlled environment and watch it like a hawk for weeks. I love me some sativa but never again outdoors w/o automated greenhouse. I called it at 12 weeks, last of it could have gone longer.October 5th and 10th. Im on the south shore of MA. Both were fem white widows from ILGM grown from seed.
Early Oct was pushing it last year. If I had the choice I would have left them for another week or 2. Sadly it turned into a game of chicken at the end there with the wet, the rot, and the mold.
Praying for a better fall this year. I want to be able to go the distance. As long as possible is the goal.
