awesome i need some good cover out there, its a 4x18. do they return in the next season?
It froze in winter, it died, and then came back the next season. Some are considered perennials, while other are annuals--- depends on the strain and severity of your winters. The strain that I grew wasn't supposed to come back after winter, but it did which was kind of weird. Of course I also had tomato plants that oddly came back after winter too. I live in an area where it gets to 100+ in the summers, so our winters are cold with an occasional freeze but it is not as bad as the northern U.S.-- maybe that had something to do with it. The only issue I had was that some of the wildlife like to eat it. My wife and I had a lot of deer that ate as much of it as they could reach.. We ended up with a completely eaten and bare strip of the vine, which was anything lower than the 6' along the lattice that the deer could reach!
Still it's a beautiful vine, with flowers that are one of a kind. Good luck with your grow, and I hope you can post some pics when they flower. Cheers bud.
