New Grow Few Problems

Your problem is your trash bag seeds and your lights and your environment.

Too many variables here....

Lower pmm to 200
bag seeds, with enough lovin', can surprise you. just because the bag was crap, doesn't mean the genetics are weak. i've certainly fucked up my share of world class seeds with a mediocre or disappointing grow. to this day, the best strain i ever grew was an anonymous bag seed from a horrible, brown bag of regs.

are you using 200watt CFLs or 200watt-equivalent CFLs? more is always better, but i suppose the answer to "is it enough" is determined by your level of expectation.

have you considered adding some reflective surfaces vertically around the top of the bucket to maximize the effect of your limited wattage?

Here's some pics of how the plant is looking just now and the current state of my setup.
Any and all comments are welcome as long as they don't involve spending money just now as that's something I don't have at the moment :(
( i tell you sorry right now by the way im french so i have some trouble finding proper words to explain myself .. ) loll

it looks pretty well in those picture mate! Glad to see that , if i were u i would put change a little bit the way your set up is done ... you are loosing a lot of light because there is way too much space and not enough reflective surface. In my first grow i buyed a reflector( the one you put in the car windshield ) and it worked well for the 4,95$ i payed ! Other thing ... the way your reflector are pointing is not the best idea ... i would put them in a pyramid way ( i'll joint a fast draw with the comment ) I think it would be better because you only have one plant . The Fan is a great idea!

And for the indica or sativa ... i really think it is sativa .( made a mistake last comment ) Because the leaves are thin

If you have any question just ask! I dont have all the answer but it's always a pleasure to help some folks!

Have a good one buddy!

@Valuski

sounds like you do have a clone technique lol. Sorry to hear things went down for you. Just keep that plant looking nice and things will work out fine.

you might as well start a journal
Yeah I suppose ya could say that I have a clone technique, lol :)
Never really looked at it as a "technique" as such, just something I do, lol
I might start a journal, certainly something for me to look into and maybe start.
Here are some pics of it from yesterday, roots starting to hit the water just now too, woo hoo, progress.

Cheers Mate

Hi Mate

Heres hoping that this little bagseed not only turns out to be female but she turns out to be a nice strain too.
The cfl's are actuall 200w not equivalents, there's 2 of them with euro shade reflectors, as for the extra reflective surface around he top of the bucket, it's something I'm hoping to get done this weekend as I'm having to get panda sheeting to close of the front of the grow area and create an actual environment, so there should be some left over to to do that.

Cheers Mate

Hi mate
Don't worry about your English I can understand you perfectly probably better ban some of my mates that have English as there first language, lol ;)
Thanks for the diagram, that is something I'm going to definitely do, probably be the weekend before I hav the time to get around to it tho with work and other commitments but yep definitely something ill be doing.

Your right it's def a Sativa, it's coming more into itself just now and ya can see that th leave are certainly looking a lot more Sative Han Indica bu not certain if its a hybrid at all or just a straight Sativa.
Heres a few pics of how it's looking today.

Cheers for everything mate ;)

Little update on how the little plant is getting on, just been down to see it and all seems to b as good as it can get in my penny pinching setup.
Uploading a few pics to show the rapid growth of the roots. The first pic is from Tuesday, second from Wednesday and third from today, the last pic is just to show how the plant is looking today.
There seems to be browning of the roots today, not a major amount but enough to give me some concern just now, would rather know what is the cause of this before it gets any worse.
I was thinking it might be my ph level, as I don't actually know what my ph is sitting at just now.
Anyone got any ideas of what it might be??
Ive got a ph pen meter on its way from Hong Kong, hopefully be here just after the weekend. As I've said I'm only getting things as an when I can afford to. So far this week I e got 2 x digital hygrometer/thermometer and a ph pen.
Buying things as cheap as possible, that only set me back £11 from a very popular auction site thanks to our lovely friends in Hong Kong ;)

Thinking next purchase might possibly be an ec meter as there fairly cheap from the same place.

Gonna be changing the light set up on Sunday when I get time. Gonna put the lights to the way Systema described, hopefully that will utilise the lights full potential.

Many thanks for all your help so far guys!!! :) :) :)
