new grow. romulan and white widow

Hey everyone, this will be the first grow journal I've done here. So mite as well jump right into it.
Setup: 3Lx2Wx2H veg, same length and width but 3 feet high for flower.
Veg lights will be T5 next week, right now I got a clone and 3 seeds under 2 cfl. There fine for now.
Flower lights will be 125 watt flower spectrum CFL, and a few warm glow regular cfls.
Nutrients are cutting edge micro, bloom and grow. PH of soil and nutrients balanced to 6.5-7.8
Sunshine 4 soilless mix for soil
Strains are Romulan, and supposedly white widow but we'll see haha
I have veg temp 68-75 and flower about 73-80.

This is pretty much going to be my first soilless mix grow, I usually do DWC hydro but felt like doin something new. I've tried soilless. Once or twice before but always had something happen that made me have to scrap it. At the moment I'm doing a 12/12 from seed experiment in my flowering under 1 125 cfl. If u guys want me to post that up too let me know. Ill upload pictures as soon as I can but at the moment I have no way to. Anyways, seeds were germinated in a water cup, broke yesterday, planted today 7/2/13. Clone is about 1 week old. Hope u guys enjoy.

Well on my last soilless mix attempt I had 3 romulan clones from a friend of mine, 2 died from wilt the other I was able to salvage for butter. But before all that happened I got 1 clone from each plant, they all survived. So that's what that clone is from, I'm planning on mothering it, but so far I don't like the way romulan performs in a small environment, I'm trying to find a blue cheese clone but havnt been able to yet. That stuff does great in closets.

Went in and checked on my grow today and the 12/12 from seed ones are sprouted. The ones in my veg chamber havnt, all planted the same day so its weird that the 12/12 seeds sprouted first, all same types of seeds too.

I sprout my seeds in pure darkness with a heat mat, 100% success within 2-3 days typically. Young sprouts generally don`t have the ability to absorb sun energy until they sprout ... so darkness, heat, and moisture is all seeds require for fast germ. Some food for thought ...

i used to do the same thing, except i didnt use a heating pad, but do to my lifestyle and work i end up away from house a lot and cant have my seeds sprouting into darkness for 3-7 days at a time ya know. plus keeping them in the grow room along with the other plants keeps the soil warm enough for good germination rate. Ive gotten to 100% clone rate but im at about 80% germ rate. I dont grow from seed too often anyways so yeah.

Ok so I got my new T5 and I'm lovin it. The cool blue light is vegging my clone great and it produces little to no heat. I've sprouted 6 seeds and I've still got the one clone all under the T5. Then one plant under the 125 watt flowering light. It hasn't really started showing much yet, weird. Anyways here's a couple pics of the veg. Out of 6 seeds in the same climate, 2 stretched like crazy. Another odd thing.

Oh yeah, and the burns on some of the leaves on the clone is from a couple cfls touching it.

ns lookin plants and vigorous.i been wanting to do romulan ,the one from next generation seeds looked best by seed from ad.would like to do thier purple diesel,i bet that's a hideous stone ,lol..welcome bro ,will see wat they make...yea ive always went with the heat mat w/ temp.controller for best results.rdr.
