New grow room setup questions

the only thing i have to say is

first time go soil and learn hydro is unforgiving bitch ....u can lose the whole attempt fairly quickly and easly

as for the set up looks fine ........but someone said there stock house bulbs are crap ......so buy a 2nd party bulb to put in your system u could burn out the system with one of there bulbs ............i think it is in the HTG are they good posting

I'm a soil man myself, but when I was introduced to gardening it was a recirculating NFT in rockwool. I did it that way for a coupla years until I decided to go with dirt. The estimated yield from any marihuana grow is indirectly proportional to the degree off diligence you assign it. No one can tell you how much herb you can grow. My experience has always been that the first one is never the biggest. First meaning the first one ever, or the first one after you start up again after a hiatus. Just figure out what combination of gear you need to maintain a controlled environment. Temperature is gonna be the hardest thing to maintain, esp. if you use HID's in a tent. Temp is my main problem now as a matter of fact. Im fixin to post something in this very forum...I think... hopefully to get some help....I am rambling now and seriously off topic and ripped as shit! So good luck with your tent thing. It appears as if the link is broke. Unless I just think it is because I am ripped as shit and copied it wrong. The only reason I tried to copy and paste it instead of just clicking the fucker is because the last time I clicked on it, it didn't work, then I went "back" on my browser and my entire post was gone and I had to type this whole god damn thing again. So if anyone is still reading this and wanna ponder my closet conundrum look for my post I'm fixin to put up. Peace.

You asked for advice and here it is, whether you like it or not. The smaller the grow tent , the higher the ratio of heat retaining material to a given volume of air space. You want to use that small tent and not build out the same size space from easily workable 3/4" Mylar coated white polystyrene foam (far superior to a tent when a double layer is used, way less heat retention because of the lower mass of the foam ) and flex fix tape? Well, that's your choice and here is how you can make that work for you. Whether you use soil or hydro your first priority is to control the temperature and provide fresh air. Take a wooden pallet or two and modify until it matches the footprint of your tent. Now line that with two layers of the aforementioned foam. Secure the foam board to the pallet with glue or tape (preferably tape). Lay the tent on top of the raised floor. Secure the tent floor to the raised floor with tape or glue, whichever works better for you. Now get a drill with a 1/4" metal twist bit and drill many holes through the tent/raised floor cross section (yes, I know what I just wrote, drill holes through the tent). You will drill 4x the circular mil area of your exhaust fan outflow port into the floor to created a perforated raised floor for passive intake air to flow through and feed the undersides of the leaves directly (exactly where your plants want it) and promote the most equitable air distribution possible. Now locate your exhaust port (inflow side of the exhaust fan)directly above the hood in the ceiling of the tent (flush with the ceiling). So what happens next? Bottom to top airflow that never gives the hotspot around the lamp a chance to eccentrically expand downward toward the canopy giving way to maximum heat extraction. Lets not forget the maximum air feed to the stomata. If you take my advice you will achieve the ultimate ventilation scenario which is sorely needed when using a hotbox( or tent as you would call it ). I hope you know that heat is the number 1 enemy and this is the best way to combat it in a grow space of any size. Excessive heat in a grow space will 1.) Attract bugs 2.) Mess with root development and growth in general 3.)Enable Leo to detect you with a handheld electronic infrared thermometer and/or thermal imaging device 4.) Make you give up on growing all together. The raised floor is my idea and nobody but me (in the history of indoor growing) has brought it to the table. Where did I get the idea? Ever walk into a server room of an office building? If you have, you might have felt the cold air rushing up from the raised floor.Super expensive electronic rooms need the best ventilation possible and that is how they do it. Just my .02... Bottom to top.

Sir let me say to you when you say ever walk in to a server room, well he has no idea what you are talking about. but I do in my area we call them data rooms and I have did the A/C and exhaust in hundreds of them not one not 2 but 100s, as for the concept of the supply air coming from the floor ,yes this is always done in data rooms , A company called Liebert has the leading tech on products to cool data rooms , but not to get to technical about the installation and why the cooling is supplied from under and not a standard overhead system , but lets say the only reason why it is designed this way is because of space issue ,being you have been in these small Locked rooms (security reasons as you know) as you can see the amount of equipment stuffed in them and all the fiber optic that goes with it. ,but there is nothing wrong with your makeup air design from the floor. you may have got this idea from being in data rooms but ,we install it that way because the servers and fiber optics and all the other data equipment have priorty placement.

Well Smarty Pant,s if you are such a brilliant inventor why didn't you market your "Original, Revolutionary, Raised floor air-cooled super grow tent" for only $599.99 + Shipping. ?

Plants want air to be fed from the underside of the leaf. That is why I suggest bottom to top air circulation. See Heaths Flooded Tube Vertical. He uses the bottom to top concept as well. Nothing he does could be wrong and I'm just telling people how to apply it to a regular horizontal garden. What the heck could be wrong with trying to emulate someone who is one of the worlds most successful growers?

It's not an invention. Did I ever call it an invention?? Did I ever once write invention??? It's a method. There's a difference. Who said I was an inventor?
