New grow room setup

Hey all, been a while since I've posted and been able to grow. I lost all my grow equipment to a thief bye bye to my equipment. So I have to start new. ATM I have 4 little lowryder seeds going at about 1 week since popping and they are going in a cooler with 1600 lumans lol. I have some white widow seeds and Nevil's haze I would love to grow tho. So here is what I'm working with for a space. It is 82" long, 23" deep. I'm looking at getting a 1000w hps but I'm not sure that would cover all the length. I think it would make a awesome sog grow in there instead of a few plants because of the depth issue.
So my question is would 1000w hps cover a footprint that long enough for a sog? Or would I need to possibly get a second hps? I would like to do soil grow so if I take a clone and put it straight into flower, would a red solo cup be big enough? Or would that get root bound in the cups? I would like to do this with the white widow after this lowryder grow is done.

82"x23" is pretty long. I'd suggest getting (2) 600W cool tubes and run the span of the length vs a 1k (or two). Is the 82x23 you are talking about thespace for plants or overall room space total?

Yikes...I'd imagine thats gonna be a real tight squeeze man. You gotta have room to walk to the back of that 82" area to maintain that section of the sog. Would you find it difficult to get in/out of the area once plants have come to full size in flower? Room for equipment,ballasts etc are things to be mindful of as well.

I'll have room for the equipment to do this and I'll be able to reach all the plants. Its in a closet and has double doors that leave around a foot of wall space on each side. I would only have to reach 23" to the back.

Hydro what do you think of 2 600w in a 5x5 compared to 1kw? whats the max number of 10g smartpots i should go i was thinking of 4 plants per light but i dont want to over crowd. i also want too LST,SCROG, and lollipop for training would 3per lite or even 2 per lite work better? im trying to find that sweet spot for yield and qaulity

I think a 1K would be best since thats basically what most 1k are designed to cover and would likely be less heat in the 5x5 area than 2 600W and about 200W/ 2A less draw on that breaker.

I cant really answer that since I dont know how big you plan to let them get,how long you plan to veg etc.
I will suggest that you manage to fill the entire 5x5 area under the 1k whether it takes 2 plants in 20gals or 20 plants in a sog -utilize every bit of light that you can from the 1k with filled canopy.
