new grow, seedlings stretching too much?

Hi there, I have numerous seedlings in various stages of growth, unfortunatly the first two didnt get enough light / as much light as they are now thankfully getting.

The two taller ones are now two weeks old since they broke the surface. They are both just under 2.5"in height and lanky. I am going to be replanting them into a larger container soon, if I buried maybe an inch of them under soil would it help or have I casued too much stress to them? The leaves are all healthy and green.









Any help is greatfully received.

they are stretching quite a bit, but if you now have more light closer to them, they should start to focus more on leaf and node growth. i did the same thing with my plants due to limited resources at the time but after a week of better light they should start to grow out more instead of up. paitience will pay off though i am in the same boat as you. learning to grow marijuana sucks sometimes because the trial and error process can take quite some time....

more info on your setup is useful in helping you. yes, you can plant them deeper. I usually plant them up to the cotyledons. even if it's two inches. but be sure to keep your lights as close as possible.

I currently have them now under two 20w 6400k cfl and the lghts two inches above, the other seedlings are staying a more normal distance but sadly these two were abandoned for a few days due to having to be away at a bad few days.

They will be going outside soon though, in under two weeks when weather starts to get milder and we have no more frost.

you need more bulbs...or risk really stretching them...and increase your chances of getting males...imagine doing all that work, putting in all that time...just to get males! plants that stretch become males, more often than not.

Will get more bulbs in tomorrow, have all fem seeds (supposedly)

If that's ur plant at 2 weeks ur in some trouble, ive got plants that are 2 DAYS old that have a leaf structure just a little bit smaller then that

Right now im running 1x 23w 2200 lumen light over each of them, Make sure ur keeping the lights close and i mean close to the plants. They will only reach so close to the light until they will focus on nodal production, but if ur lights are further away they will have that much more room to cover before they stop to produce nodes. and with a long lanky stem like that a few nodes and it will topple over itself, Deffinatly Xplant those and burry them deep, leave maybe an inch above the soil and lower the lights for sure, mine are about 1" from the plants

Just another quick note, just because u have all fem seeds doesnt mean that with stress they wont turn into hermies

The hermies was the bit I was worried about! Will replant tomorrow anyway and put them under a more instensive light regime. The other seedlings thankfully are doing a lot better due to proper light from the start.

Got them all repotted in larger pots and buried upto witing an inch of their heads.. under the lights now inside an old pc case...

Only one inch above leaves and already in under 12 hours the leaves grown amazingly well!
