My 600 digital ballast gets pretty damn hot. I'd imagine two 1000's would get at least twice as hot. That's no bueno.

Also a good point I mount them to the wall outside the tent ... Maybe I will screw in a 2x across the studs and mount to that bc it will look neater and be easier to adjust

Here's what I would do:
1. take the ballasts out of the tent
2. install at least one 6 or 8 inch passive intake coming from basement directly to tent (shortest duct possible)
a. if you can't or don't want to cut that many big ass holes in your floor, perhaps try running your cooltube exhaust out through the floor and pull your cool air from the room.
3. open the intake end of your cool tube so that your basement air is drawn into the tent (preferably the end opposite of your intake.
4. use your can 33 as an air mover inside the tent

I have no problems opening up the floor here fuck my landlord my heat had been broken for 2 weeks straight and he hadn't even looked at it yet and his office is 5 miles away from the building ... It's been 20 degrees all week he don't care if I freeze my dick off igaf about his floor

also bc I am cooling my lights with the air in the tent ... Coming from the can filter to the lights and out .... It probably is having a minimal effect bc it is so hot in there ... The more cold air I can use for intake the easier my problem should be to solve ... Sound about right??

Ya I just took 13 cuttings and germinated 13 seeds ... Right now ak xtrm plants are going into the tent I only started w 5 from Seed bc it was kind of a test run for this room but they r ready for flip 4 r showing pistils and 1 might be male I'm keeping an eye on it... But ya as soon as I can dial in the heat issue I will flip em to 12/12 ... Next round I will have about 25 or so in there .. 5 differnt strains (all going right now in solo cups and clone dome)

But unfortunately I just spent 1500$ dollars today and yesterday together getting this tent all set up and on soil and other stuff for this next round ... And rent is due next week bc the first is before the second Friday and all my bills but I'm sure I'll throw together another 250$ and get that new intake done up and mount the ballasts and I'll be all set

UPDATE:
So I remounted the ballasts and that brought the temp down to 90F with 2000 watts running for 12 hours straight ... Most of the time it was at 84f but the daylight came and the temp rose.
Now I just got this thing for $50 today off a buddy of a buddy who cleans estates for a living

Think everything will be under controll... So right now I am just running one light bc I only have the 5 axtrm plants going into flower ... The room "test run" plants .... They went in tonite at 46 days in veg been topped one time and are almost 2 feet tall in 7gal pots.... So ya I needed the room bc I have 18 solo cups at 1 week old in my veg area and 12 clones that will be joining them soon .... It's gonna be tight on space for round 2
