New grow, would love to hear any feedback or comments . Greatly appreciated folks! I’m using coco/perlite mix btw.

Most mature are at day 9 of being planted, some between day 3-6. Are any “stretching”? Dome on the right were planted today, temp in there is 82* and 78%rh.

No nutes for 2 weeks. Water @ 6.5 ph and see if they look any better.. I don’t see them “stretching”. If you can drop temp to say 76 - 77 it may help as well. Only advice I could give with the info you provided.

I could probably get a mini fan for in the dome to drop the temps.

If you wanted you could take the dome off the ones that are a little over a week old. I think the fresh air would benefit those better. Small fan for now but soon you’ll need something bigger or multiple small fans unless you’re growing outside.

You are growing seedlings which start life with a tap ROOT.

Take the dome off.
You want the plant to establish a root system yes?
You put a dome over a plant so it can ingest water through its leaves when it has no root. (Aka a clone/cutting).

Hence, by putting a dome over it and allowing it to get water from the air you are discouraging root growth.

Didn't mean to sound like an ass.
It looks like you've got a good start. Just make sure not to buy into the "you need this dome, or that fan, or this PK booster."

This growing thing isn't that hard ;)

I would agree. Taking the dome off is going to be your best bet for right now. As seedlings and young sprouts, those little guys need three things. Air, light, water.
Don't worry about nutrients for a couple weeks until the coytledon are brown and falling off. As a young plant the coytledon are responsible for supplying nutrition so giving any excess will do more harm than good.
I would say taking the dome off is better for them because the soil is not getting adequate airflow to dry out how it needs. Basically your plants roots are looking for water. They drier the soil, the more they have to search for that water so they stretch out and establish a strong system. If your soil remains moist, the roots won't go "looking" for water so they won't work as hard to establish a strong system.

Yep.

Dome off and so long as your humidity is above 40% you shouldn't see an issue. (My personal experience)
Temp is perfect.

There's different opinions on the "no nutes for two weeks" thing. Usually I use no pre-nuted soil for my seedlings, but as soon as the sec set of real leaves form(usually end of week 1), I start introducing nutes, not anything close to full strength but still. Next thing is, that when you grow autos, you kind of don't want to transplant them, so you put them in their final pot. So if you use for example canna terra soil mix, which is used by tons of ppl, its coming pre-nuted with 12-14-24, pretty tight init :D I've seen amazing grows with this soil. Anyway, that's just my opinion :mrgreen: :peace:

Ok, but if I'm not wrong, the plant takes the nutes lol I've never used coco tbh, as far as i know, the watering is the main difference with this type of growing medium. I cant give you an adequate answer probably, maybe someone with more experience on the coco will give you better tip. :peace: :hump:
 
All the nutrient and feeding advice you've been given up to this point is incorrect for your style of grow. If you're running coco, you should be feeding these plants from the day they break ground. Anything less will put you weeks behind and cause for some poor growing plants. As mentioned you don't need any domes when germinating seeds...save the dome for your clones. Shoot for a pH of 5.8.......the pH values mentioned above are for soil grows; they will not serve you well in coco. Good luck.

Ph @ 5.5-6.2 is good for the coco. I’m feeding them about 5.7 currently and yes everyone has different nutrient methods. I have found out that using a 80%plain coco and 20%coco seedlings starter with perlite a 0.1/0.2/0.1 npk just for a start works good for me. I’m a beginner grower myself. You’ll get there.. read up on everything and I mean everything! Find out different ways to grow. I’ve learned dwc/coco/soil. Tons of ways to grow ya just gotta want it
