I need help what lights are better t5 or led that's the only thing I'm stuck on thanks for your help

I believe he's saying 1000w Metal Halide (MH) for Veg and 1000w High pressure sodium (HPS) for flower. T5's don't yield as much as MH/HPS

So in a 8ft tall 4ft wide grow box 4 2ft 4 bulb 40000 total lumens and 2 led lights on each side wouldn't get good results

What about soil, and I am gunna buy a 1000 watt hps light now just on to soil

lol you need to look at the led thread....search "new to led"....for the record there will always be someone on your thread that says a 1000w mh/hps is the best light and nothing will compete.

you stuff a 1000w HID in a 4x4 its going to be really hot in there unless the light is sealed and vented.

1,000 watt lite, hps & mh, yes. Never t5 lighting. Your plants hasn't spent millions to sell you certain products, ie; t5 or led lighting. For me, personally, it will never be about quick, fast or the latest rave... like led, which I love, but not for my plants! My SOLE goal is to provide any & everything the Baby wants or desires. I don't have my notes, but I ask my local weather man how many lumens a full sun has in September. took 3 days for an answer. Full 16 hrs. per day in veg state is what your plant needs to meet it's FULL potential. A 1,000 watt is pale compared to what the sun provides, but it's the best I can do, in part, because I only use light at night, I move them, when possible, outdoors, daily. I had the fan-cooled lite, in a REASONABLE size room..10 x 12. Bottom line, and I repeat, with the closest lite to the sun as possible, youriplant will be it's best potential. Too small area, bad parenting. Deprivation of lighting, bad parenting. riu as a wonderful post on the light spectrums, etc. The term "Sun loving plant" actually means a lot. Your grow now, learning process. play. Start a 3 year plan, 3 years to collect all the things & info to do the one, perfect grow, maybe 10 ten lb. plants, a greenhouse design that allows full sun, but hides the night lites without moving the plants. I think I have a design. food for thought.
