I bought it at walmart I got 2 200 watt CFL bulbs in there next time Im going to go with a different type of light what do you recommend??
What awesome-ass Wal-Mart do you live by?

I'm pretty sure 200w CFLs require their own socket? I need that Wal-Mart in my life...

Again. You sure they are 200w? Just asking.

yeah a 200w would need a different socket. I think he read the wrong true wattage on the package. its prolly like a 23w bulb.

it says 200w on the bulb itself 3600 lumens I got 2 of them im pretty sure its 200 if im wrong then idk how she grew with that little of light shes at 35 inches now in the 2nd week of flower lots of preflowers turning into flower sites but like I said im new to this and in no way think I know everything so you guys might be right tomorrow when my lights are on ill take a picture of them and see

He is using 200w CFLs, that equal out to 40 Watts each.... Anon you aren't giving them adequate light and they are stretching, additionally CFLs only give off certain spectrums of light, I am growing with CFLs myself, Currently i have 18 of the 100w CFLs "23w" ... which would mean 7 more of your bulbs, Plants require 7000+ Lumens, you are giving them to little, additionally because you are using CFLs, the light doesn't penetrate as well, you should put a few CFLs on the sides. You aren't even using 100W of power to feed this light hungry monster.

Solution:

Buy some of the make your own lamp kits from Lowes / Menards / Home Depot. The ones with the Chain, Dangle on of these with 2 100w bulbs on each side of the plant at different height levels, this will increase your yield by HUGE amounts. hold on let me show you the light I am putting off.

Where did you buy a 200 watt CFL? That thing must be 2 feet long and as big around as a coffee can. Is it the equivalent of a 1,000 watt incandescent light?
Its not an actual 200w CFL, he says 200w, but he is using the watts it says, normal newbie CFL mistake, 200w = 43w, So he is currently running with less then 100w while he thinks he has 400w :D... Unless he bought some of the $100-$200 super big CFL, but if he spent that much he should have got HPS for less lol

He probably has this:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Feit-Electric-BPESL40T-Feit-Electric-Bpesl40T-40W-Cfl-Twist-Bulb/37656306

Which says 200w on the top, but its a 40w bulb.
