New grower, but some green thumb wanting to go 1000wHPS

Hi, I have a higher budget this time around, and I'm curious if just jumping straight to a 1000w bulb is good....?

I grew my first plant off 3 CFLs just fine, and it was going GREAT till it had to be canned....

What could go wrong by going straight up to 1000Ws?
would having that much energy be good for 3 plants? I would be going mainly organic soil and some nutes later on in budding....
Is 1000w too much for first time grower with just nutes and good soil?

na, you can use as much light as your living space can absorb without looking suspicious. 1000w is more than ample for 3 plants, unless they're indoor monsters. Just make sure you can cool it. My first grow was with a 1000w without an aircooled hood, but I did it during the winter, so the light actually heated my apartment, and I had my heat on low the whole time. It worked out well for me in the area that I live.

I've never been close to a 1000w bulb to feel how hot it really gets.....

I like to keep my house at 73' or so....
Think a normal A/C would be able to just cool it?

I just wanna have monsters grow from one bulb... that or I'll get like, a 450w MH and then another 450w HPS and combine the two once it gets in veg....

MH for growing, both for budding.
Does that sound like a dumb idea, or what?

I don't really care for different lights for different times, a good bulb will grow a plant no matter what, right?..

also, one main question, will I need to use more nutrients or something with using such a powerful bulb?

simply combining two 400w lights does not increase your watts to 800. You are still growing with 400 wats

You will veg quicker w/ a MH. And you will flower quicker w/ a HPS.

IMO for 3 plants you could get away with a 600w. Use a swithable ballst that can lite up both or a HPS ballast and a metal halide conversion bulb that will burn in the HPS ballast.

Like I said , you could get away with a 600w but the 1000w is the shit IMO.

ahh, so let's talk permanent mother plants. 3 of them.

I would grow on MH, then start budding all three of them on an HPS bulb.
Then once harvested, put them back on an MH bulb?

think having a 450w MH and then like, a 600w HPS would suffice?
Also:what would happen if instead of switching to ONLY HPS, and I put MH and HPS at the same time budding?

I don't get exactly which I would need, a 5 tap? 4 tap? 480v? whatever that black looking ballast is? I'm confused on this part.... bulb>ballast

Does anyone see a problem with this setup so far?

I grew with 3 CFLs and it was the beefiest plants out of all my friends... fore it got KAnned....

Would you guys suggest growing mothers in soil and a nice MH and then putting the clones into an AG with HPS setup??
