New grower here! Tips?

Whats up guy, im new here. Was looking for some answers to a couple questions i have but cant find the answer on google lol. First question is. How many plants is ideal for a 600w hps? Also was wondering if it was a good idea to veg for 2 months and flower for 2 - 3 months? What kind of yield should i expect? If ya need to know anything or have questions for me just ask. Any advice is better than none! lol

The reason why Google is not answering that it's because they are not the right questions. What light are you using for veg? How big is your grow space? What nutrients are you using? Are you RO your water? What grow medium? To many unknown factors for anyone to answer your questions.

Im using a 600w MH/HPS. Ive got a 4x7 tent. Im using Fox Farm Trio and Fox Farm Ocean Forest. and I PH my water but never heard of RO.

first of all abou veg flower time, you can decide what veg to give them about flower they will finish when they finish you cant really tell.
about your other question , if your plants have a healthy veg life cycle for 2 months(veg its not when your seedling emerges , its when your embryon leaves start to drop , probably by the 3rd set of true leaves) that beeing said 2 months veg you will get some huge babys , so probably you will only fit 3 or 4 max in a 600 plants , but this all depends on your growing method.
i would sugest scrog , but if you do it well 2 plants with 2 moth veg will be more than enought to fill your 600w lighting capabilities.

Really appreciate the advice! I think ill have to try the SCROG in my next grow. This is my first so i wanna keep things fairly simple. If it helps any, as of right now i have 5 Girl Scout Cookies already in veg for about 2-3 weeks. Ill probably post a couple pics of them later on. Thanks again!!

Scrog is Very simply you just need to buy a Scrog net , put it over your plants when your switch to 12/12 and when they start the strech , divide them by the holes , and make a Flat canopy . It's very simple , i sugest you do it from the begging, you will be please with the increased yeild. probably double or more if done right ;)

Nice, im actually going to pick up some more soil here in a bit. Im for sure gonna try to find one asap. My girls are about to go into flowering in about 2 weeks. :) Its been smooth so far, only had 1 problem and it was over-watering, fixed that havent had any problems since :)

Under 1 600 watt bulb I would only veg 5 plants for about a month, depending on how they look? The reason is a 600 watt bulb is only good for about a 4x4 area, ideally. Your 5 plants will easily take that space up in no time at all, especially after they stretch. You say you have a 4x7 tent? I would get another light, grow them about 2 months to get enough topping in, then either just flower them normally or scrog them out.

Looks nice. What strains you got in there? I would out grow my tent really quick if i vegged for 4 months and still had to flower lol. Im about a month and a half into veg. Ill try to upload some pics later.

Was wrong about the height and width lol. Its 3x6. I was actually thinking about buying maybe a 250w or 400w MH/HPS or maybe adding a couple T5s .

Same here. Mine have been vegging for 5 weeks. Gonna let them go another week or two and flip to 12/12. Hoping to get some nice buds for my first grow too lol

T5's are cheaper, run cooler and allow for more even coverage. They work really well from what other members on here post. I'm actually thinking of going to strictly T5's myself.

That's what I am planning on trying first. T5 uvb bulbs along with my 1000 watt hps. Then, depending if I like what I see from the uvb bulbs I will then try all t5, still with uvb light supplemented. The uvb is supposed to make your ladies produce more trichomes. Its their natural sun screen. If I were to only use a t5 with hps I would definetly put in uvb bulbs or maybe some deep blue/coral bulbs.

This guy probably gets sick of me pimping his threads but... Check out RM3, a member on here. He only uses t5s and his bud looks amazing.
