Hello, I am a new grower. The laws recently changed and the day that they went into affect, I started growing some bad seed in my south facing window. I eventually moved these plants to a skylight in my bathroom, which improved conditions for the plants. But I have the bug, and I really want the ability to control lighting on my plants.
So... I invested in a Gorilla Grow 4x2 foot mylar tent and the KIND LED K3 450 light. I am super excited to start growing. I also have purchased 5 feminized bubblicious seeds from the internet which arrived sooner than I expected.

This wednesday, my growlight and tent will arrive. Should I go ahead and try to finish up my plants that Ive spent a few months on? or should I just plant my new seeds. The plants I have are still in the vegetative state, but they are small and not very full.

A few things to point out. My first 5 plants are all female, and are all from decent bagseed, however, I only used potting soil from home depot, and I didn't monitor nutrients or anything. They are also in like 2 quart containers, and not the correct size. I have 4 bags of foxfarms ocean forest potting soil. Here is a picture of my plants from the skylight in my bathroom.

What would you do?
1)try to salvage the plants I have in order to learn the most or
2)just start over with new seeds

Thanks for reading,
Nathan

p.s. this is so exciting

I have to start off by saying I am new to all this as well but I am currently growing and almost done with my first crop so I can't be the best source of info but I do know a thing or two so I'll try and help as much as I can. Now it's up to you really if you have the time, patience, space and equipment. Those are real lanky and not looking to green and healthy but these plants are something special and can possibly bounce back if you wanna give it a shot. But you can try and repot them in more appropriate size pots and bury the stem as far up as possible, get light on them and feed them. Then you can have a little experiment, a learning curve and/or see just what happens.
Here are a few things to consider if you decide to keep the old going and have the new ones going at the same time. Your gonna have to have the space to flower one and veg one or just wait until the others veg until you want them to and throw them all into flowerpot the same time. Or try and save them while your seeds are growing try and clone the ones your gonna try to save (again for practice, learn etc.) but if you have to choose just start over imo. If you go through all that time to do this and that and it doesn't come out right or work then you wasted time. So it's your decision on what you can or want to do.
Also if you have any question on the LEDs I use them as well not your brand but LEDs none the less, and also I have 2 gorilla tents.

thanks for replying. I think I will keep the plants I have at the moment while my seeds are germinating to practice a few techniques that I will use later with my good plants.
The only question I have about the LEDs so far is... Do I really have to get a pair of LED operator's glasses or is that just a waste of 80 bucks?

Since your gonna keep them remember transplant into a bigger pot a bury that stem as far as you can all that stem will end up growing roots you might be surprised with those plants. And those glasses, I have them and use them everyday. They may seem like a waste but they work you don't have to get them but those LEDs are bright and may give you a headache and hurt your eyes. So imo yes get them. Also those LEDs are probably gonna say to keep them at a recommended height but you don't have to keep them that far your plants will stretch. Mine are recommended at 26-38in I keep the, 4-6in away depending on stretch and how they react but you can keep them close.
