new grower looking for tips, tricks and advice

whats goin on people im trying to find out how to tell the sex of a plant before it starts to flower or grow sacks. Im a new grower and im very open to advice as long as it doesnt cost a lot. I have grown before but it took about 7 months. i did get a nice female out of it so it was very incarraging but i hit some bumps a long the way but i learned a lot so now i just want to perfect it, i got a little over 2 ounces out of it and it smoked pretty good. you can tell by the pre-flowers. Search for pics of pre-flowers - look at em - you be an expert in no time. Pre's show themselves at 4+ weeks from seed.

Protip - Don't love your plants to death. You must give the things you do time to work before doing the next thing.

This, right along side of ensuring proper pH, is the number one thing to keep in mind.

If you make a change, give it at least a few days to see results. If you make more than one change at a time, you'll never know what caused any benefits or drawbacks.
