New grower need help and advice!!

Ok I just started growing my plants 2 weeks old before i tried to grow on window sill but both plants died after 3 weeks.I put a random seed into pot watered it once and stuck it outside looked one day and it looks really healthy.But my problem is I live in the desert and the plant doesnt blend at all and I dont want police helis seeing my plant.Theres a field with bushes about 2 blocks away should I stick it there and water it once a week?Kind of a hassle...I also made a stealth grow box made from a computer but i can only put 2 lights and i dont got $$ for lights so that probably wont work.I think the reason my plants died before on the window sill is from miracle grow and from no air circulation should i try that again and put a fan next to it after it gets a good size?i got the 2 windows that get sun from 10am-6pm and i can make the shades where no one can see in but the sun light shines down.How much sun does it need Kuzz mabe the top of the plant will get sun when it gets older.

the best thing you can do is move it to that bushy shrubby area you mentioned, everything else kinda seems like a shitshow
