am i suppose to fill it up with groton or wat let me know and guide me in the right direction
fill the top one with groton up to the tall drain pipe and the bottom one with phed/nutrient mixed water. put the air stone in the bottom res and the pump in the bottom res and turn it on.. the pump should be connected to the short pipe/drain, it should fill up to a certain point and drain back through the tall pipe/drain.. when the pump turns off it drains back through the pump. it seems like it would be very hard for it to overflow because its so high on the edges.

ok heres my suggestion you could probably put 10 if you did the SoG method, just remember to get small netted cups all they have to do is be able to hold up a plant which really doesnt way much at all. If you just grow them normally I would advise that you cut the bottom leaves off as it gets thicker and thicker in the canopy, this will help with airflow which will make the plants thrive. what you have to remember is that if they are to close the bottom leaves wont get much light no matter how you hang your lighting, with SoG technique it gives the plants a brace to space out on. Spreading them out just allows the light to reach all the leaves, i have an 18 gallon resevoir and unfortunately i bought the biggest net pots possible and i could only fit 4.

airstone is the little bubbler you find in aquarium's that create oxygen rich bubbles helps your root system develope. You can find em at walmart in the pet section

you can fill it 1-2 inches above the tall drain pipe with hydroton, and for the floods per day i would go with 9 a day for 18/6 (veg) and 6 a day for 12/12 (bloom) floods should last between 5-15 minutes and should be done during the light hours of your light schedule and none during the dark cycle or just one about 1 hour before the lights turn on. the airstone is placed in the res. which is connected to an air pump that forces air bubbles into the nutrient rich water allowing it to remain oxygenated to help the roots develop faster.

you can put them in rockwool which would be a good idea. just make sure you buy the 2 inch rockwool along with the 4 inch rockwool to put the 2 inch ones into. they should have a perfect hole to fit the 2 inch rockwool in. put the 4 inch rockwool into the 4 inch netpots for easy handling and place the netpots in the hydroton.

as for how many plants you can grow.. you can grow as many as you can comfortably fit on the table, but the more you put the shorter veg time you will want to give them or else they will get to big. say if you put 12 in there. let them grow to 8 inches (after training, Topped recomended) and then begin the flowering cycle.. they should still get 1.5 ft tall or 2 ft.

As far as E+F systems go, is it unusual for Emily's pots to retain water near the bottom of the clay pellets? I'm watering 15 minutes every four hours during the light cycle. Averaging about 72 degrees and 40 percent humidity during this flowering phase, and I've already started fighting some root rot with Physan 20 and adding Hygrozyme after cleaning out the rez's.

I have a shorter interval timer, maybe it's time to hook that thing up?
