125 watts should certainly cover the amount of lumens required for a 2 x 2 garden (although growing two plants in here is pushing it) but in terms of what lighting is good for vegetative and flowering stages has to do with light spectrum. I don't know much about your particular bulb but lights which emit more light from the blue end of the spectrum are better with vegetative growth and light from the red end of the spectrum is good for flowering. If your light is fluorescent it will probably not be sufficient for all stages but a high pressure sodium or metal halide probably would.

Buy another 125w Enviro, this time red (2700k), that should be just about enough for 2 plants. You can veg with the blue one, then at flowering use both.

It won't be the very best you can get, but itll get you acceptable results. a 250w HPS will use about a 1/3 more electricity than those two.

Good luck.

well no, since flowering needs a different spec then veg. in veg you need something in the 2700K region and for flowering in the 6500K to reach the optimum.
for the start you may want to look in some cheap cfl's, 21W ones with a spec of 2700K. you can buy 10 of those for the price of one envo light. get in addition for later stages a HPS sys, it simply gives you more lumen per watt than floros could do.

You can flower with a blue spectrum bulb, but the flowers are very small and are not compact. Also tastes like crap. Friend grows this way because he is to cheap to buy the right stuff. He makes 5 figure income and refuses to do it any other way! Even knowing what I grow and toke with him.

I'd suggest you're getting your cause and affects mixed up here. Light, the quality of, quantity of and spectrum of has no affect whatsoever on taste. That remains very firmly in the area of nutrient quality, growing medium quality, drying and curing and grower ability.

I'd suggest your friend isn't flushing properly in the last couple of weeks, after using cheap and nasty chemical/mineral nutrients.

use some sugar in ur soil, that should clear that up. just a little sprinkled on the top, molasses, honey, etc, those'll do it. never really tried, but i've read a lot about it. easy tho, don't kill ur bud's Buds

You'll be good with that light, but as others have stated you want 'red' light on the light spectrum for flowering; around 3,000k.

Good luck, keep us posted.
