new grower need some advice

Hey guys im new to growing i just bought some afghan seeds off of marijuanaseedbank.nl got 5 free haze spice seeds with it free. Anyway i am growing them in a about 2 1/2ft rubbermaid tub i bought at walmart. So far i have planted them all which might be a bad idea due to reasons I will explain later. im about 1 week and 2 days in and there all growing about 2 inches i have them under 4 23 watt 65000k daylight cfl's with the whole rubbermaid tub lined with reflective material i got from the dollar store...... i just im using miracle grow organic no ferts in it i bought some superthrive the other day tomorrow i will be getting my jacks classics ferts all purpose 20 20 20 and bloom booster i am hoping they will pick up growing faster i just switched them to 18/6 today from 24/0. I am hoping the reason there so tiny is because i have not used and ferts yet other than the superthrive which really isnt a fert. I have my lights aproximately 2 -3 inches away from my plants i will post pictures of my setup tomorrow any advice would be gladly appreciated also by switching them to 18/6 i think will help root growth alot better. Also I hope tomorrow when my ferts come and start dosing them I will see some faster growth rates thanks sorry for the poor punctuation... i will post pictures tomorrow of my setup.

How many plants are growing in the tub?
When you start giving nutes, only give them 1/4 strength at first.

i got about 13 growing in the tub im afraid im going to need more light i dont know will post pics today thanks

one of the point of the leafs today on one is starting to turn white but others are fine my peters 20 20 20 comes tomorrow and bloom booster and tips on how to use it whats 1/4 strength like a teaspoon im kind of stupid when it comes to that

also i have a question that can someone pls answer i am gonna start using jacks classics 20 20 20 tomorrow how much should i use i heard 1/4 strength thats what one teaspoon per gallon of water? also when do i start dosing higher and higher than when do i switch to the bloom booster i know in flowering ? but do i introduce it slowly and lay off the 20 20 20 weekly by weekly thanks!

rock straight water every other time when the guys are little then water every third time to avoid salt toxicity. in veg use a lower dose, that peters can be a little hot. 1/4 strength of the reccomended dose.with a low dose of ferts until week 3 or 4, by then the bite will be taken off your soil by your then thriveing root zone and you can go up to 3/4 or 100%

so just straight water tilll week 3 or 4? than use jacks than at 1/4 strength ?

well i updated the lighting because i think thats what was slowing the growth i now have 8 23 watt cfl in there bringin to a total 13600 lumen any help would be great

Your plants are too small to fertilize yet
Looks to be over watered ( Very Common new grower mistake)
You need to add lots of perlite to organic Miracle Grow soil for aeration and drainage.

Suggestions: Repot all the little plants into 3/4MG organic soil and 1/4 perlite mixed well.
Water once a week at the most, the soil needs to have a few days of being fairly dry for the plant to really grow well, wet plants grow slowly.

Once you have 3 nodes/stalks/real leaf sets then you can start fertilizer. Start at VERY low doses, if you see no improvement in growth rates stop giving fertilizer and wait . Fertilize only once every other watering. More fertilizer will not make the plants grow faster or bigger, it will kill them and turn them crispy.

After 4 or 5 leaf sets you will transplant into a bigger pot and then the growth will really start happening.

thanks man i repotted all my plants with less organic soil and a seed starter mix that has a bunch of perilite in it and veryl light light light dust soil
for aeriation so water once a week?????? i have some of my plants in party cups and others in 5 inch pots so......?

i think two of my plants are getting some type of burn i dont know whats wrong but i flushed them with water and i currently have all my plants on a 18/6 schedule here are some pictures of the one plant thats really bad the other one is doing fine it just has reallly light tips... any advice would be great btw mg grow organic fertilizer sucks way to much bark in it..
and some new pictures of my new setup i cut a whole in my rubbermaid tub and put a 9 inch fan intake on it any advice pls

well that single plant died it was small anyway i spray painted the rubbermaid tubs with high gloss white spray paint instead of the cheap dollar general reflective paper is that best?

well there getting pretty big now i will post pics tonight or tomorrow i was away about 3 days but i watered them really good before i left and one or two plants leafs are curling up like trying to hold something will that go away they were really dry when i got back i got some jacks classics 20 20 20 and superthrive i mixed it up and watered them should they be ok now or will the flowers curvature will stay that way ?

these are some updated pictures there lookin good so far so good some are afghan kush and a couple are haze spice i just ordered some short rider aka lowryder due to space constraints after this grow i will be growing in minimal space so any advice would be appreciated

the last pic is the plant thats pretty bad its curling is there anyway to help him its because i was gone for 3 days and did not water for so long ? any tips pls to bring him back to life i have some superthrive and use jacks 20 20 20 and jacks blossom booster 10 30 10

well i got most of them about 6 outside in 3 -4 gallon pots now hopefully its not a shock to them there gettin pretty big hopefully the sun gives them some really good growth instead of those cfls and the bigger pots im investing on getting a mh and hps setup 400w in a couple weeks i also ordered some short rider from nirvana! will post pics of the 6 outside in a couple days!
