Ok, need some help here! I'm not quite a newbie, i have done all of my homework, all im lacking at the moment is some advice as to how i can best use the equipment i bought. My grow space is a closet 4ft X 2ft and about 5 1/2ft tall, and i have a 250W HPS bulb, ballast, reflector. I was told by somebody that a 250W HPS would not be enough light, but im having a hard time believing that. What would be the best way to set all this up for maximum yield?

Im only a newbie too, but I think 250w will be plenty. Thats like 22500 lumens? According to the Grow FAQ. And you only need 3000 lumens per square foot? So you have enough light for about.... 7.5 square feet?

....Yea... I might be completely wrong... But... Yea....

Afew CFL's might help as well?! With vegging, 6500k.

:) Im vegging at the moment with only 8 x 20watt CFLs.

:) :joint:

You should be perfectly fine with a 250w HPS and will have more than enough light. The formula to find out how much light is needed is length of space by width of space equals your square footage. For your set up: 4ft by 2ft = 8ft squared. Than you multiply 25 times your square footage equals wattaged needed. For your set up: 25 by 8ft squared= 200 watts needed. As far as yield potential goes for every 2lbs/1,000 watts of light, and if you are growing constantly than you should be yielding about every two months. Hope this helps out good luck on your grow! :)
