New Grower...!

Hi There.

I've been admiring some of your grow rooms for quite some time and decided to attempt to start my own "Stealth" grow to learn the basics and run into errors a new grower may run into before i take it to a whole new level.

A small problem is i still live at home for the time being so Stealth & Smell are my two main prioitys here.

The space i'm working with is a a drawers 26" (height) x 30" (width) x 17"(depth)

Main few things i would like to know are :

  1. What kind of lighting would work best
  2. How can i get rid of the smell? I understand i need a carbon filter but i'm really not sure which one?.
  3. I'm not after a large amount of bud from the grow, it's just for general learning & practice so i can make the mistakes now, and hopefully learn from them.
  4. How many plants should i try and grow in that space?
Know a decent type of seed that fits me?

I know you must get asked these questions daily and it becomes tiring answering and i've been holding off asking them in fear i'll get nowhere, but i'm not getting anywhere on my own, So your advice is really helpful.

Thanks in advance. I'll try and get some pictures of my drawers that i'm currently doing at the moment shortly.

First of all, you shouldn't be growing at your parents house. Wait until you're a big boy.

To answer the questions:
HID lighting works best. Your space would benefit from a 150w to 250w HPS system. Otherwise you'll want daylight cfl bulbs and clamp light reflectors.
You don't have enough space for a carbon filter. Most would fill your entire cabinet. Also, the sound of the ventilation will alert anyone around to hear it. Look into ONA time release spray or Ona Gel kept outside and near the grow chamber.
You can do anywhere from 2 to 5 plants depending on their size. Keep them in 1 gallon planters maximum and begin flowering around 6-8 inches tall. I think 2 plants would be better because you're probably going to need to LST them. Start 5 and select 2 females to keep.

Bag seed would suit you well. Otherwise look for an early finishing indica without any skunk genetics.
