New growths from buds in final stage of flowering...... HELP/ADVICE NEEDED!! please

My girls in in the flush stage of flowering but over the last few days i have noticed new growths sprouting from the bud formations.... i believe the condition is known as "carrot topping" whereby the plants have received light during the night-time dark period... the new growths look airy and only have singular rounded leaves growing from them..... as i dont want the buds which have already formed (and look very well) to start changing into the same as the new growths, i am looking to crop the plants in a week at most anyway and just want to complete the flush.... can anyone advise me as to what they think the best course of action is from here (eg. should the new growths be cropped off asap??) ......any advice/help would be vastly appreciated as i'v spent a lot of time and effort on my babies.... thanks in advance

Picture?

Are there any light leaks? I think I have an idea what it is that you're talking about.

I think some people call this foxtailing. It happened to a couple of my Sativa Dom. plants, which I have heard is not uncommon. Google cannabis foxtailing and you should find a lot of info. From what I have read, it's not necessarily a bad thing.

yep, foxtailing (with out knowing for the pure fact of no pictures)

can be light leaks, more likely high temperatures, can be strain related too, mostly for Sativa dominated strains

I don't see it as a bad thing, just more weight, usually very potent, give em a week extra
