Hey guys/girls hows everyone doin?

Been creeping around the site for a couple of days now so i thought i'd join.

So i plan to start growing my own pretty soon and ive got a list of things picked out so i was wondering if i could get any advice on the things i have picked out.

Thanks a lot man, i'm looking into it, nice price too.
the lights on altgardening.com were really pricey and being on a small budget i cant afford them
and my grow space is really small. i got pleanty of height and length but not a lot of width.


Any companies/sites you'd recommend?

Well you asked

for light would go with a 250 watt CMH (not knowing your space dimensions) or 400 watter? your saying not to much width?

for seeds I would start out by growing bagseeds till you learn a bit

for soil, if you insist on FF go with Happy Frogs, I prefer a soiless mix and use SunShine Mix #4

know nothing about those nutes, I don't use canna specific, funny named nutes, just get some DynaGro FoilagePro, works great

I've learnt a lot.
I wont be doing anything for awhile anyway so im just soaking in all the knowledge i can in the meantime

But theroy is no comparison to practical

my space is 2.5ft wide X 3ft long X 6ft high max.
i can go out more long ways but i dont think i'd have too.
so I'd go with happy frog for the whole grow?
that would save me $20 aswell...

I'd think soil would be easier for me. i would like to try just one plant at a time. it's all for me anyway.

for one plant in that area a 250 is good though that is a good price on a 400 watter, I just like CMH and admit a 250 CMH would cost just a bit more look here

Check this out and go with the CMH bulb from growlight express which Riddle recommended...this way it costs the same and you also have aan hps bulb as a back up...but CMH IS DA SHIT!!

Also the CMH doesn't "throw" heat as hps does so you can be closer as well as being able to vent the heat alot easier.

awesome find man thanks a bunch, i'll be going with one of these for sureeee!

I can never find stuff like, i guess im not looking in the right place.

So if i went with foxfarm happy frog i'd stick with that the whole grow or would i get something simple for seedlings?

do you follow through with them when their ready to be planted in happy frog?

I know the ocean blend (i forget the name of it now) will burn seedlings

im getting ready to buy a system but i think imma go digital instead of magnetic im trying to stay around the 150 range whats up with CMH i can use those for flowering too ? whats the deal with them?

From what ive gathered, bare with me, they put out a better light spectrum and dont heat up as much, so you can put them closer to your plants with fear or burning them and i think for these you'd use them for the whole grow?
