New here @ RIU, how does she look?

Hey Everybody,

I already made my first post in indoor growing, but perhaps it would have been better here...anyway...

a little background...I received her as a clone in April, apparently White Widow, spent the summer outside in 3gallon pot in soil, then transplanted into a hempy bucket (5gal. 70% perlite 30% vermiculite plus soil in rootball). I started with DNF grow and then swithched to botanicure pure blend pro bloom for soil. I started adding mollasses after 2 weeks of flowering (1 tblspoon/4l).

She was late flowering due to the weather this summer and started about 6 or 7 weeks ago (approx).

3 days ago I moved her inside into a 4' x 3.5' x 7.5' room with a 600hps Lumatek with Air cooled hood, 4"Vortex, Can33. Good airflow, temps around 77f. 12/12 feeding straight water now.

here are pics from today. How much longer?? I am patient, but dont wanna wait too long. Do you think it really is white widow? The source wasnt really reliable!

Any Opinions Appreciated

You can't go by the hairs, you need to examine the trichs. And you need to examine them from several points around the plant and take an average. You want at least 25% of trichs to be amber. What really works is a vintage used microscope which you can pick up on ebay cheap.

I bought the one from Radio Shack for $12 and an old school microscope for $15 and the plastic pocket thing is literally a toy by comparison. With a microscope I feel like I am walking in a forest of trichs. I can see them from clear through cloudy and amber in the same field of view. If you are going to do this more than once a year, a microscope is one of the best investments you can make.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. So, do you take off little samples and check them under the microscope, or do you just kinda hold it close to the bud and examine it?

It's best to cut off a small section of leaf and examine it under a white fluorescent light. Under the yellow HPS light it is hard to discern the true colors. Plus it is a lot easier if you are sitting at a table rather than bent over the plant.
