New job at hydroponics shop :)

well it seems to me that they dont inforce the Headshop Etiquette of slang words! Most people that have ever been into one know that "Bong" is a big NO NO, water pipe is what they are called, Not trying to rain on your parade, but where are you from cause I am from Oregon and pretty smoke friendly state but there is no way that they would have a Grow shop and a smoke shop in the same place. The Hydro shop I go to has signs posted that say "due to federal law they can not talk or give advice on growing Marijuana" or you will be ask to leave. And nether one would allow smoking in or around the place

I don't know where the OP is from but in Canada we have head/grow shops and there is no ban on words. Bong is fine to use. and you can buy nutrients and a bong and a copy of high times, all in the same store. Just can't say marijuana or weed.

so what do you call it? Ganja!

but Canada sounds like the place to be

Yeah i live in canada and bong, pipe, bubbler, whatever you want is all cool. Tobacco smoking accessory is the key term. Im sure no one in my shop has ever used anything bought there in any illegal way....
And we help people grow there hydroponic tomatoes to there fullest.

You wont know anything like you should unless you grow and go thru the learning curve. I could spot your bs from a mile away if you don't know what your talking about. good luck sounds like a fun job.

Just just tell them to go to rollitup.org If I were you Id stay away from giving advise to customers, you could ruin there investment. yikes! Stick to the pipshop...

smoking is a no, not that I would anyhow.

To get a job in the first place i had to be interviewed by everyone who works there (all with at least 10yrs experience) and they each asked me different questions about growing and plants and nutrients and not just the basics, product specific questions. So i had to have a good knowledge to get the job. Also many of my friends are growers and i have had first had experience with my own small outdoor crop. Just no indoor hydro set up of my own to tweak to my liking. Just wondering some hints from you guys... trying to talk to as many people as possible about it is my idea
