New leaves growing out as bright yellowish green

Hey folks, issue here. I'm growing fast buds Gorilla cookies auto. My plants appear to be really healthy, doing fine in Ocean Forest soil. Also feeding it Fox farm fertilizer, but being very careful to only use about half dosage. It seemed like they were stuck in preflower for 2 weeks which from what I've read is way too long for an autoflower. I read in another thread that to jumpstart the flowering stage you could give it 48 hours darkness. I gave it about 24 hours darkness and decided to check up on it and noticed that the top leaves and all the other top leaves coming out from the side branches had turned a combination of a bright greenish yellow. I read in some places that this could be a lack of light which would make sense due to me putting it in complete darkness for 24 hours. But I'm not exactly sure this is the issue. I have before and after photos provided. Also, please let me know if I'm overthinking this as well. The before and after photos are literally one day apart.

Thanks, I have seen this before but not to this degree. I thought leaving it complete darkness may have damaged it in some sort of way.

Could be iron if it continues

Leave your light schedule static …. No dark days or other changes. Autos are unpredictable both bad and good .
Just let her find her way …

Plant will get light colored tops when left in the dark for a day or more.. pluss new growth is always alighter green... I wouldnt sweat it yet..

All my tops do this first week or two of 12/12.

Completely normal. They are healthy.

Let me get this straight. You cut you nitrogen in half and put your plant into darkness then it began to turn yellowish.
I would expect no different from a plant. Add fuel to the fire with nutrients. Add heat up to 85 degrees, these could be a bit cold, that should het them growing again. It is difficult to tell from this angle, are the leaves "reaching" for the sky. Happy Happy Happy warm plants reach for the light.

I should have been more clear I'm using Fox farm nutrients but I'm only using half the dosage they recommend due to the fact that everything I've read up about the dosage they recommend tends to usually be a little too much for the plant to handle. The plan has been in preflower for about 3 weeks and I find that to be a little too long. I read in another thread that putting it in darkness for 48 hours and then bringing it out for light would help kick it into flower stage. I checked on it after 24 hours and saw the leaves were turning yellow. This was about 3 or 4 days ago. Since I've put it back to a regular outdoor light schedule and everything has returned back to normal. ..... My only concern now is that it's still in preflower. It's been this way for about 3 weeks so I'm wondering what's going on, why it's lasting so long

Time to hit those bottles and get your ppm up. It this point you have very hungry plants and you can still get away with lots of nutes. About a month into flower beware of increasing buildup of nutes. We're using nitrates, hit the gas and watch the RPM or ppm.
