I'm going to ask this is a couple areas: What is best nm mix for cloning? Or asked another way- to develop roots?
They did not start out as a brown lens, they were used and the UV has degraded them.....to turn them that color. It happens all the time, i have UV diodes in mine that look exactly like it and they started out clear, they produce a blue around 410nm which its bandwidth +- 20nm dips into VIOLET And Ultra Violet.

quick question on UV diodes
hey
I have a quick question on UV diodes. I've seen pictures of cheap Chinese UV's, where the dome has turned colour and is no longer clear. In fact, it looked like a red dome. I've been told that's what UV does to the dome. I just figured they used a red dome on a blue diode to get purple
My question is.. do higher quality diodes, such as a LedEngin UV, do the same thing?

Re: quick question on UV diodes
Most of those use a resin of some sort, and will degrade over time. The lower the wavelength, the quicker it will discolor. The picture you posted is pretty typical for the cheaper "UV" LEDs (410nm isn't UV). LEDEngin LEDs use glass domes, so they shouldn't have any issues.[/b]

I know he has gone back and forth, but yes his last root test validates IR. I must have been high when I posted, because I meant nutrients not nms? lolIf you look at that ledgtow.eu page, he just did a root test.. FarRed promoted more roots.
