new lights

i'm really excited i just ordered 2 mars hydro fc e8000's with the add on uv and ir bars for my new 4x8 gorilla light line i already have the mars hydro fc e6500 also with the add on uv and ir bars in my 4x4 and i'm happy with it so far but can't wait to use these new fc e8000's. anyone else growing with mars hydro or what do you use i'd like to know

Sounds like a great setup! I’m in a 6.5x6.5x7, my main light is an HLG 550 rspec, and I’ve got a couple older 285w Bestvas. In the future I’m planning on going to a bar type light.

oh yea i wanted to get some hlg lights but did not think i had the height in my grow tent. how far do you hang your lights and do those lights work ok in a tent maybee someday i'll spend the money and go with hlg. good luck and happy growing!

As I recall the lights need to 14-18 inches below the top of the tent, then another 18-24 inches above the plants, depending on what intensity it’s set at, they would not be good for a 4 or 5 foot tall tent, works fine in my 7.5 footer.

do you veg under the same light? i got the viparspectra ks5000 for my 4x4 veg tent.
