New me, New Year, New Goal.... Five lbs Lets go!

I have a variety of lights, probably about 35 or so cxb 3590s.. a magnolia from Timber.. and a bar light that came from timber when they did them... I have 6 earthboxes, a few generic big box store sips and a 4x4 grassroots bed, I grow build a soil style making my own organic soil from scratch (and have been since before build a soil but loooove all their stuff) I will be going all in and getting most if not all of the things they recommend.. I have a lot already... One big problem is I have always sucked at cloning AND have not the best discipline in the past... well also a big change.. I have quit drinking (never done that before lol) so I am going to use this grow goal as a big discipline keeper and translate that over to other things in my life. For now just have a few seedlings from Bodhi going (they even survived an entire 36 hours with no power and no heat) so I take that as a sign!

The plan is to take these plants baby the hell out of them and make them into moms.... sex them then take clones at 7ish weeks... root them.. veg maybe 2 weeks and then flip to flower.. find the best keep that mom.... then find then next strain and do the same (these timelines can overlap some also)...

Here's to a new year and a new plan. Pics incoming of the little ladies soon!

Peace and Love all

Some pics of the little ladies... they are not doing perfect atm.. still getting dialed in and they also had to go through 36 straight hours of darkness and temps like 50 degrees F when we had a power outage.... hoping to get everything back on track here soon, but a couple might not make the cut will shall see.. these are all Lemon Lotus by Bohdi soaked in water overnight and planted in happy frog (I know, I just have a bag left to use and will be switching probably to build a soils seedling mix going forward) on December 12th. They are under this beautiful Magnolia 4 from Timber (I guess they are called Highgrove now?) dialed to I am hoping a little under half power. I have no PAR meter or anything to tell but since they are still small i think they should be ok. Some curling on leaves I am not happy about, but they will get there.

Thanks for following along anyone who is!

Peace and Love! :peace:

So had some issues knocking the dust off so to speak and over watered these poor little ladies but I recognized my rookie mistake and realized I needed to ignore them for a while. Know they are coming back with a vengeance! Happy new year everyone!

Peace and love to all!

Looking good.. subbed..
Your plants look good but do look like they"re alittle deficient.. maybe magnesium? Ph issue?
Nah, as I said it was me being rusty and over watering, they are still just in only happy frog, they will be up potted once they get big enough, then I will use some soil I have made and recycled for a while, the latest ammendment cycle I used coots mix from build a soil. So yeah ... user error I belive is the issue you are seeing ;-)

Welcome to 2023 all! Things are looking MUCH better in the tent now for these little ladies! A couple are still showing signs of me being a noob and over watering them but for the most part they all look amazing! This magnolia is very much over kill for seedlings but I had not used it much so I wanted to try it out. Even on only about half power (there is no way to really tell on the light, for sure and I don't have a par meter) these plants are very very dense as you can see!

I also have cleaned all my homemade 5 gallon SIPs I made in the past and will be moving these ladies to them; I am thinking next Monday. The plan is to veg them out until I can sex them, take clones from the females, cull the males (I am toying with the idea of keeping a male in my garage and making pollen, 1. to dial in a room there with next to no risk and 2. because I have never messed with it before.. but this is probably a bad idea and more then I can chew atm lol) I will root the clones veg for maybe a week to 10 days just to get over any transplant shock then flip to flower... pick the best flower keep that mom and keep it going. I will most likely start more seeds in there somewhere also to get another strain mom, and then continue on...

Anyone have any ideas on how many clones I should put in a grass roots bed trying something like this?

Hope everyone is doing well!

Peace and love to all! :peace::leaf::peace::leaf:

Day 24 from seed:

Ignoring these ladies has really helped them perk up! Just a small boring update today. I gave them all about 4 ounces of plain water and foliar sprayed with plain water, little roots are showing out of the bottom. Transplant day will be next Monday or Tuesday into their 5 gallon SIP homes

Thanks for following all!

Peace and Love all! :peace: :leaf: :peace: :leaf:

Day 29 from seed

These ladies all very much needed this up pot. Moved them to 5 gallon home made SIPs. Great White on the roots because I still have some from forever ago. top watered with water phed using just citric acid and water to 6.7 and used the build a soil products. Will add a mulch layer tomorrow. Then time to start really watching for balls and culling those bad boys. hopefully in two weeks I will have them all sexed and taking clones.

Peace and Love all! :peace: :leaf::peace::leaf:

Day 35

These ladies are doing ok.. some issue with lower leaves... hoping it evens out once they get used to their new SIP homes. Mulched with straw mixed with DE to make sure no bugs made it in with it. looking for balls on any of these every day now.

Peace and love all! :peace: :leaf: :peace: :leaf:

Well tomorrow I will attempt cloning ... again... so far this is the one thing in growing that I just cant get consistent for some reason... I am hoping this time will be different as I wont be using a stupid homemade aero cloner or anything... just plugs and a dome and the build a soil way. hopefully this thread will then get a lot more interesting as we will be flowering a bunch of clones! and once I get a few more ducks in a row.... building a new room! more pics incoming tomorrow!
