new, orange hairs

generally, how long after first seeing orange hairs are the girls ready? i have white widow and orange bud in soil under HPS. flowered 6 weeks ago today...

wondering when i need to start flushing. using fozx farms and molasses

i'm not sure if the hairs changing color is a fail-safe method of determining when to harvest. I think the opacity of the trichomes may be a better indicator of when to harvest.

i just got a hand microscope from radio shack. it has 60x and 100x, but i cant really figure our how to use it. do you snip a little leaf off and look at it or do you look at it on the plant?

its sometimes hard to tell man i've got a bunch of orange hairs that are to me almost wilting...but at the same time on the same bud there are hairs that seem to be just about getting to their prime...take a look...(stunted plants by the way I know)
