New Organic Grower has maybe not so dumb of a question?

Well I've been growing w/ compost tea recipes for the last couple years strictly, (love it!).
I forgot I have a bottle of flora nova bloom 4-8-7 I'd hate to waste it, I was wondering if it could be used with
Compost tea recipes, or one or the other. Or has anyone ever done that?

Feed that to your house plants they’ll love it! Don’t mix with organics

Thanks, my buddy said it would be ok because it's organic.
I just wasn't sure.

I’m not sure it could be. But I really don’t think flora nova is anything close to organic

Hey, Good luck. Don't try saving a dollar or ten, if there's any doubt, throw it out. From what I understand, Liquid nutes will have additives to prolong shelf life and keep things in suspension. If possible use dry organic ingredients. When I decided to go organic [after 35 years], I gave all my synthetic and liquid nutes to a friend, Just to avoid the temptation. One big mix up and you might have to start all over again. Live long and live well.

It's an inorganic nitrate solution.

Checking "Material Safety Data Sheets" (MSDS) on-line can be helpful in regards to product composition, hazards etc.

We work hard in organics to avoid heavy metal contamination of our soils. Excess metal salt buildup is not a virtue.

Skip the bottles.

Flora Nova isn't organic, but it is free of heavy metals-arsenic and cadmium at least. I've been doing a lot of research into heavy metal contamination and most of the inorganic salt products from General Hydro are free of heavy metals, with the exception of Kool Bloom-which is actually lower than most organic products. Just an FYI, Earth Juice, Roots Organics, and NFTG have high levels of arsenic and cadmium in most of their products. Being organic does NOT mean "heavy metal free", in fact, in many cases, organics are HIGHER in arsenic and cadmium than mineral salts. Use some flora nova on one or two of your plants and see how it does.

Flora Nova is a great way to see if you like growing with mineral salts, it's a very beginner friendly product with a decent amount of calcium, magnesium, sulfur and micros, plus it has some humic acid in it I believe. You can get great tasting buds out of it, especially if you include some "organic" inputs like kelp extract or even GH's "compost tea" product...which I think is Flora Blend? I wouldn't throw it out anyway, give it a shot! It's fun to compare mineral salts to a full organic grow.
