New Ppm Meter has Some Extras Anyone Have Advise?

Ok all my fellow growers.I got a new Truncheon Nutrient Meter wand.Its pretty cool but has a few more readings then my old meter so Im looking for some help on what some of these reading might be used for and any suggestions what range I should be in on these.Ok I have soil growing mothers and Im doing an aero grow.Here are all the readings this stick gives percheck
CF
EC
ppm EC x 700
ppm EC x 500

Which ppm should I use to make my adjustments the ppm with ec 500 or 700?There is quite a difference for instance if the EC is 2.0 the ppm meter 500 is 1000 while if im looking at the ppm 700 guage says its 1400 ppm.

So open up the lines and let me know what you think.I used to just use a single ppm pen but it broke so I thought since this was an upgraded fancier wand with more readings and dirt cheap for what it sells for I got it and may have out fancied myself.Im gonna go look for some instructions online lol Thanks in advance.

I have the same meter you have. The only thing need to pay attention to is the flashing light and a chart of what your ec should be at various stages of growth for the kind of water you are using.

EC is more accurate than ppm. Just look at the flashing light. In the book Integral Hyrdoponics , they give a chart using the ec that tells you what your ec should be at various stages of growth.
TAP WATER
1st 3 days EC 1.2
Grow EC 1.8
Grow/Bloom EC 2.2
Bloom EC 2.4-2,8
Last week WATER ONLY
I have checked this with the people that talk about ppm and you can see that they match up. I decided the manufacturer and the author knew what theywere talking about and just follow thier advice. Why spend the money for the meter if you are going to stress out using it and doing conversions??

I also have a truncheon with the same reading on it, but if i were to use these i would get nute burn.

seedlings cuttings 1.0 - 1.2
vegers 1.4 ( this will flash 1.4 and then 1.6 alternately
early flowering with bloom, boost, nitrozyme, liquid oxygen 1.6 -1.8
couple weeks into flwoering 1.8 - 2.0
last 2 week before harvest try to get it back down to 0 if poss

Well it would be nice to be able to find this chart somewhere online since they don't send any paper work with it.I've been kinda watching the EC at 500 side and making sure I keep the EC reading anywhere from 1.6 early on to 2 or 2.4 for my mothers I am keeping vegging in soil now at about 45 days.Im cutting clones this weekend and going to prep them for my 26 site aero and wanna get it right for that system.Would you guys have any suggestions of EC for new clone babies and for how long then what I should switch EC for veg and bloom.I will conquer this wand..lolThanks for all the replies so far

Ok got alittle new info so far.From what I have found the Ec 500 ppm rating is the standard in China so Im going to figure that the 700 EC ppm reading is for the US since China is always opposite.So on the wand Im going to start watching the EC 700 ppm readings.Will update again soon.Im gonna start a grow journel I think of my next aero garden.Gonna decide tonight whether to use the 32 sites or down it to 24 sites for more room.
