Good advice.Really if you're running actively chilled water too much air might not be a good thing. All it does is heat up the water which winds up reducing dissolved oxygen capacity. Bubbles contrary to popular belief doesn't actually transfer that much oxygen to the water - it's the surface disturbance that does it.

I'm not really sure about a good brand of pump, they're all cheap China imports. Just stay away from the ones with really bad reviews on amazon.
I typically use a low capacity pump with an 8 in stick style stone.
You're saying buy 6 of those (one for each bucket)? Seems pretty expensive. Or, are you saying just one of those for all the buckets?Use one of these

It flows about 150 lpm. You only need one. Get 1-2 small eco plus air stones per bucket. You're saying buy 6 of those (one for each bucket)? Seems pretty expensive. Or, are you saying just one of those for all the buckets?

That's a lot more output than the air force pumps. 2,377 gph compared to the top air force pump which puts out 1,363 gph and runs almost $250. So I'll get the Pondmaster, a 12 port manifold and run two smaller eco plus air stones per bucket. Thanks again for the advice. It flows about 150 lpm. You only need one.
