new setup grow room

hi im just about to billd a new grow room. the room is 150cm x 160cm x 220cm tall. the walls will be flat white with a 14" fan and 12"exust fan. it will have
1x 1000w hps { mh for vegin } whith 6x 30w cfl or 2 or 3 moor? im planting skunk no1, ww
cal orange, g12, all in soil the thing is how meny plants do i wunt? and will it be werth yousing a 400 mh alongside? thank for any info

I'll try to help dog. I use Foxfarm light warrior and some worm castings and bat gauno in the early stages. Then I transplant into either Fox Farms regular soil or their Ocean/Sea soil. I heard that it is usually one plant per squre foot. As for the 400 watt, that is up to you, I am currently in the same situation as you with that one.

yeah me too I use foxfarm strictly and c02 as well as mollases. My lights are 400 watt MHD ?HPS but a few of us have decided I need to get two more 600 watt

I am using soil with a mix of perlite.
I am growing WW, Pure skunk #1 and maui waui hawaain stuff ...........

OK. Maybe I missed something here. Let me see if I've got this right. You will have a grow area that is 5' x 5 1/2' by 7', sound about right? And your going to use a 1000watt light to veg four different strains, along with 6 maybe more cfl's and you want to know if you should add a 400watt light as well. No. That 1000watt light will cover the whole room.
As to how many, you will be able to put as many as will fit in the space. It depends on the size of the pots you use to finish in. Since you say you are going to use soil you will need 3 gallon pots. This will limit the number of plants.
Question, do all of those strains get the same height at the same time. If not you will have a problem adjusting that 1000watt light. Do not let it get closer than 18" above you plants and start with it farther away than that. Hope you have deep pockets and a good ventilation plan. VV

you are right victorvicious so iv got the seeds sprouting at the mo to get the mums when i no thay are girls i will put 4 cutings from each mum that will give me 16 plants? i wont use the 400w but i will use the cfl on the sides. so you think 3 gallon pots? on my 600w hps setup i had 1gal and sum 2gal pots will it help haveing 3 gal pots? i will post sum pics soon thanks for the help

never follow the 1 plant per sq/ft rule, of caurse if you have a small plant and are doing sog you can have more plant in 1 sq/ft, and if your lsting, you'll need more sq/ft per plant. So always map out what your doing and think ahead. you should be fine if you know how fast the plant grows and such and such.

He isn't goping to be able to get one plant per square foot using soil. Yes three gallon pots to finish in. VV

up date on my new grow room. im sill wateing for my 1000w light, thats the prob with ebay? and im haveing probs geting 3 gal pots. in this grow room im only going to grow 4 w,w and 5 skunk no1 naw and grow the rest in my 600w set up. thanks for al yor info
