New sprout has 3 leaves. Is this good, bad or just ugly?

I planted the warlock seed that I got from attitude in their promotion and it just sprouted. I noticed it has 3 leaves instead of the normal two. I was just wondering is this something that is good or should I not expect much from this plant or what. I have never seen this before is this a common thing? any info would be great.

If you mean three leaves, instead of 2 at the nodes, I have heard of a guy who this happened to. On this site, he had pics too, and it was pot.. I don't think it's common, but it apparently happens.

it actually happens a lot...i had and og #18 that did the same thing...i mentioned it in one of my past threads and a few ppl mentioned it happened to them also with other strains tho...as it got bigger it gained branches so when i topped it it had 5 branches on 1 node...i accidentally cut 1 when i was topping...

If this female 3 leaved plant was pollinated by another 3 leaved plant would all the seeds be 3 leaves? This would be good to do no?

i have a 3 week old plant that has 3 leaves for the first real ones. there are 3 for the second leaves as well. so i hope mine is a female. its a blue dream plant

It's called a triploid plant. It's a freak genetic mutation that happens occasionally, often times the plant will grow out of it by maturity.

I now have 2 of those triploid plantst. Hopefully I end up with a male and a female so I can get some seeds from them and see if I luck out with them.

I've had 'em before, even had topped plants with four colas show 2 or 3 normal colas and one or two triple, on the same plant. The ones with triple sites always have thicker buds, I love it!

I think that I've got the same thing. In comparison to the other plants that were germmed at the same time its like 1/4 of their size. I topped it at the 6th node and it appears that the new growth has the similiar 3 fingers per leaf config, does this mean that its a triploid?

what I am talking about is actually having three seperate leaves at each node instead of the usuall two. We aren't talking about the amount of fingers on each leaf.

it doesn't mean anything, if you really want to see weird leaf growth, take a flowering plant and reveg it.

Yes I currently have a clone that I took from a flowering plant and it has just started to reveg and I already have 9 growing tips and its not even 3 inchs tall yet. All the leaves are twisted and curling this way and that and then you got the single leaves. Its all pretty cool It just started to grow vigourously and there are growing tips everywhere I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

It ends up looking like a completely normal plant.

Yeah, a re-vegged plant looks funny with its single leaf spinning out of a lil bud. So what does it mean if a plant ur growing has only 3 leaves on all of its leaves? The plant is probably 18 inches tall and has 6 nodes each sporting a 3 fingered leaf. I know that as the plant matures the number of fingers will increase also, so what does it mean when the leaves fingers do not increase as the plant goes through veg?

when a plant matures the num of fingers will go down and the nodes will alternate
if the whole thing has 3 fingers then i would think that it is stressed or something....idk...good luck though
