** NEW TENT SETUP Please Read !! **

Greetings,

So I'm looking to buy a 4ft x 4ft x 6ft Tent

Electronic Ballast ( Galaxy Switchable 400/600/100 MH/HPS )

Yieldmaster II 6" Air Cooled Hood

Hydrofarm 6" 400CFM Inline fan

The Tent will be standing next to the washer and dryer downstairs with a ducting port already made for the hot air (from dryer) to escape outside..

I'm wondering could i utilize the ducting port by adding a Y SPLITTER SIDE #1 for tent exhaust (pulling heat from bulb and blowing it outside and SIDE #2 hooked up to the dryer...


If your confused I will be glad to take some pictures to better explain it..

Yes you can but you will need a backdraft damper on the dryer side so when you use you dryer it opens and when it stops, air from the grow won't come out of the dryer

where do i find this "backdraft damper" ?? and how much $$?

Home Depot, lowes, grow supply store/ website, amazon lol there pretty much widely available there usually around $15-25 depending on where you get it from

Thanks alot purpz I looked on Lowes and the search results came up with nothing.. kinda weird, anyways i threw that in my amazon cart. My next question is.. if i install my inline fan so that its pulling the heat from the bulb and blowing it out the ducting that leads out the side of the house would that prevent me from needing to put another hole in the house?

Yes it would. Put the backdraft damper on the dryer side
