Damn they look great!

You could have went with red anodized, with stray light reflecting off it, could we get a little more reds going to the plants?

Looks like there is a Redwood and a Fatty....lol....good times! :)

It might be cool if all the fixtures had some kind of tree-name

The Redwood

The Cyprus

The Pine

....

Hi Dan,

No, I didn't get the Fatty, but probably best for me right now since I am downsizing and just ordered the 400 Watt Ver29 and am extremely anxious to try it out. After several years of growing pains from CFL's to T5's to HID's, I'm downsizing from a 6'X8'X7' area under 1000 Watt HPS's to a 3''X3'X7 tent.

I'm no longer interested in growing poundage, but now interested in experimenting with some novel and unique strains to me to enjoy for my personal collection. I plan on cloning and vegging in a similar tent with 2-foot (4) bulb T5's with (2) 2900K and (2) 6500K bulbs in each for 96 watts total. I'm going to use the Vero29 exclusively for flowering in the other tent. I ordered the Vero29 with 3500K for all 4 COB's.

The question is: Would it benefit my grows to have a mixed temperature of the 3500K and the 3000K for flowering with this specific light ?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Hi @Knally

Thank you for your order - I appreciate it. As @Madmungo and @chakup pointed out, many growers prefer the 3000K spectrum for a dedicated flowering environment as it's spectral output is stronger in the 600-660 nM range and has a little less in the 400-450 nM range (blue) as compared to a 3500K spectrum.

I'd say of the growers that purchase a light for flowering only, most go with 3000K, with a smaller percentage opting for a blend of 3000K and 3500K.

I hope this helps - if you do need to make any changes to your order, I'd be happy to assist. Just shoot me a PM, an email, or post in this thread and I'll take care of it for you. If you have additional questions I am happy to answer those as well.

Have a good rest of your day.

Best Regards,
Dan

Hi Dan,

I want to thank you and everyone else for their informative input.
Dan, I sent you an email requesting to change all 4 of the 3500K to 3000K on my light order.

Thanks,

Keep in mind...In MY experience with Timber...If, say, you wanted to use a 4000K spectrum, but also wanted to add some extra 660nm red during flower, then those guys can build you some auxiliary red bars to hang alongside your 4000K lights and voila!

LOTS of stuff they can do isn't listed on the website....but just ask! :)

I went with Timber cob array in veg coming on a year ago now and real happy with their performance and efficiencies.

Since its veg only I went with 5000K spectrum and I do notice that every single strain i've done under it gets some purple striping and purple petioles. It is not strain specific and it goes away once I flip into flower on the same nutes, so I can only conclude it must be the limited spectrum. Plants are happy and grow in abundance, so not particularly worried.

Any opinions on this?
