New to Arizona

Hey everybody!

I just moved to AZ outside of phoenix (east valley)from Illinois. I'm here to look after my dad (who is in and out of the hospital constantly) and finish school at ASU. I have yet to meet any cool people down here and I'm starting to loose my freaking mind. I'm not looking for a connect or anything nefarious, just thought I'd reach out to see if there are any hip folks on here that my be in my area. Anyway, this site is quite informative and I plan on spending lots of time here soaking up all the knowledge I can.

I doubt anyone responds to this. Be careful out there AZ is a fucked up stated with real harsh pot laws. My buddy got cuaght with an oz and damn near got 15 years

Yea, I didn't really expect much but I thought I'd give it a shot. Once school starts in the fall I'm sure to find some like minded folks, but that is still a long time away. I'm not sure about the laws down here, but I am sure I don't need that kind of hassle. I'll be sure to watch my back, thanks for the heads up...

things have changed dramactly out here...2oz possion has become a simple paper arrest...peace az

Yeah I havent been out there to much I have fam out in Pheonix and Lake havasau but it was probably 8 years ago he was visiting from Mo and got caught with 2 oz he got for personal while he was working a temp job there. Took a few months and he stayed a month in jail and lost his vehicle and had to get a real good lawyer as they were pushing any out of towner in possesion should be considered a potential tarnsport mule or possible buyer for inter state smuggling.After that I wouldnt even smoke a joint out there lol At least here they might take your stash and wallaet and beat you up and drop you off on the southside but you get over that

Welcome to AZ, I also moved here from Chicago a few years ago.

Thanks zambonisk. I got down here late last fall, my sister lives in Chicago. I'm from Moline (part of the Quad Cities) which is about 2 hours south. I was in Chicago late last year to see the Bears/Broncos game at Soldier Field. I always have a blast in Chicago, it's such a great town.

i visit AZ 2 times a year my brother lives in Tuscon
its a wierd state in terms of building plans and city layouts
but its really easy to get peyote so i like that
and cali weed is like what 2 hours away

I just wanted to say hi, I'm also in the east Valley and I've had a shit load of problems meeting people with "similar interests". So do you like it down here? We moved here about 3 years ago (from Chicago) and I like it down here, but I do miss Chicago.

I was in your neck of the woods a few weeks ago (Davenport). Anyway, if you get a chance send me a PM (I tried to send you one but you had it off).

I am endlessly confused on how to do much of anything on this forum including sending PMs. I went through my settings and don't see any options that look as if they would help. I will post a comment on your profile page.
