New to Autoflower help

So I've been growing two Purple Kush autoflowers now for a little over a month and they been showing pre flowers around 25 days I heard you keep them on the same light cycle throughout the whole entire life span.?. so I would keep them 20 and 4? This is my first time growing autoflowers I just feel like I want to change the light cycle LOL but I know they are auto flowers because they showed sex without doing anything with the light cycle. I'm just wondering when they're going to start flower because one is really really big and it's starting to out grow my tent.

Autoflowers perform better with a set light schedule. I have started plants up to preflower at 20/4 then dropped to 18/6 for the remainder til harvest. Autoflowers do better on light schedules higher than 12/12

Well the autoflowers have been on 20 x 4 since seed and are 30days old now showing preflowers should I switch them to 12x12?
Because I thought autoflowers you don't have to switch them to 12x12 because they need as much light as possible I've even heard some people running them 24 hours straight through flower cycle.
I don't know I'm just trying to get feedback on what I should do because I never grown autoflowers before and it seems like they just keep getting bigger and bigger and it seems like they're in staying in veg. And i know they're autos because they showed their sex without me doing anything to the light cycle. I don't know what to do need info

And I just ordered a new LED be here Friday so they're definitely going to get bigger hopefully in Bloom mode not veg.

Run autos on any schedule longer than 12/12. If your 20/4 schedule will not be a problem til end , then leave it til harvest.

I only mentioned a run i did beginning at 20/4 during veg til SEXING - Then switched down slightly to 18/6. It was more for lessing power bill during summer and plant still preformed well.

For your run ... Leave your schedule as is til harvest.
You need to reposition your lights to cover canopy better.

That's just what I needed to hear to leave my schedule the way it is I wasn't sure if I should switch it or not thanks for letting me know far as my lights there just CFL around the corner and edges of the tent to get some of the lower Bud sites that I didn't lollipop and I have an LED300w in the center but I have another LED300w arriving Friday which will filll the tent up with light better to my liking, one for each plant u know. Once that comes most of the cfls will go

Wondering what strain you have there ?? they seem pretty big for a auto
Heres a Autopounder @ 52 days, under constant 7-1 cycle, with a 600 hps above
7-1 works well , when your night temps can drop,.........good luck

That's what I'm starting to wonder I know they're all autos because they showed their sex without a light cycle change. I order them from Supremeseeds.com there's supposed to be purple kush the smaller one looks like a purple kush but the other one is way too big to be an auto pk. the big one was hurt when it was just the bean I snapped the root tip by accident when I was sticking her in the rock wool I didn't even think it would survive but after that it just started growing like crazy I thought the ruderalis and it's genetics would keep it small. I'm thinking that when I snapped the root tip I messed up to genetics or something I don't know
That's one of the reasons why I don't like HPS because of the heat they produce plus I'm working in a small space less heat the better
I never heard of a 7 to 1 cycle what exactly do you mean 7 to1?

If yor tent or area drops in temp, because lights are out for 4 or 6 hours (in winter) a cycle like 7 on 1 off & so on will stop that drop
If you only want them to get 18 hrs of light , go with 8 on 2 of & in the 24 hour cycle you still get 18-6, its just that the dark hours are broken up into 3 sections, which helps hold a more even temp, it works well ,

As for changing genetics , by root damage, ..............cant help, no idea..........happy gardening

Do you have any other reason to believe there autos ?
Where did you get the seeds ?

I've recently switched to 18/6 from 20/4 , my auto was just starting to flower when I did it and seems to be going smoothly still :) I switched because my seeds are fast buds and they seem to reccomend 18/6 for most of there's but it was doing fine on the 20/4 aswell .. switch to 18/6 if you want it's not gonna harm her but I wouldn't go lower then that .

Im pretty sure everything is dialed in with Autos, the lighting scheldule is a matter of choice, or temp control, they will do pretty much what they want to do, unlike a photo , were u have more control............but looking at some of the record breaking Auto grows, more light = greater yield

2.2 lb dry from 1 Auto Mazar, by a grower known as the Kind , is the best ive seen, that grow is on RIU somewhere, all the best

I'm getting better response with breaking that up like 6/1 four times a day.

6/2 for 18/6, 6/1 for 20/4. 8+8=16 6+6+6= 18.

It is breaking your light cycle up/ So for a 24 hour period it would be, 6/1, 6/1, 6/1, 6/1.
