What’s up all. I’m new to breeding I’ve always wanted to to try it but got a little nervous now I want to know everything I can about breeding I have a discontinued strain from ethos I have 3 regular gmo runtz from them. If I breed them will they be usable seeds? I also have regular gmo cookies from ethos I have a small tent set up I’m not using even if I don’t breed them would it be a good idea to collect pollen from the males to save?

I see no reason why they wouldn't be usable seeds. The easiest thing to do would be to start all the seeds at the same time and assuming you get both male and female plants just flower as you would normally and pollinate the females...a bit of a messy process but if you have a spare tent maybe thats not a huge issue. Saving pollen can be useful if you don't want to go through the process of flowering males everytime you produce seeds but whether or not its the best option depends on your breeding goals.

Hell yeah dogg. I'm in the middle of a little breeding project myself. I think it would be best to start with as wide of a cross as possible or maybe for example, open pollinating all those plants that you just mentioned in order to give yourself an initial population with as much genetic diversity as possible and therefore sibs with many different phenotypes to choose from. In subsequent generations choose your favorites to move forward. Over 6 or 7 generations the populations should become much more homogeneous as more and more alleles become fixed.
