New to coco need help with FloraFlex system

Im new to coco and trying to figure out the FloraFlex pot sizes. It seems most people grow coco in at least 3 gallon containers. The biggest container floraflex offers is 8 inches that look like they might hold 1.5-2 gallons of coco max. Are these supposed to take you all the way through flower? How big of plants are they expecting you to grow? Again, im new to coco so this may be standard size. Im just trying to figure it out.

I also understand that you can stack them but they have pre filled bags in 1 gallon and 2 gallon sizes so it seems like they want you to grow in these size containers. If not, then why not offer bigger options?

you will get best results in coco with undersized containers and feeding multiple times to runoff during the day
during flower you want the medium to dryback (coco getting clearer on the top/container lighter)
coco is oxygenated but a bit less than rockwool thats why you want it to breath before watering again
you can grow fin by keeping it wet but its far from optimal for flowering stage

so yeah 2 gallons containers full of coco will allow you to grow big plants .. i would not put more than 5 plants per 1000w light in these pots

I too am getting ready to use a bunch of FloraFlex products. I recently tested their coco and it's more or less the same as other brands. High salt content and needs to be thoroughly rinsed.

You will be surprised what you can do in 1 and 2 gallon pots. You also don't have to use their pots. Plenty of other pots that will work with their lids...if that's what your thinking of using.

The 8" FloraFlex Caps fit nicely on an Active Aqua 9x9 (2.5 Gallons). Be aware that the FloraFlex Caps can distort in the dishwasher even though they are marketed as "dishwasher safe".

The floraflex system is typically used to grow more of a sea of green type setup using a tray to collect waste either to a drain or recirculating. Smaller plants but more of them is typically the way floraflex is used. Sometimes not a true sog but definitely not less than 4 or 5 plants per 4x4 area. You could use a floraflex on larger plants in bigger pots with trees but you will want several feed lines per plant.
