New to growing and got a few questions

Im getting ready to set up a closet grow room and need a little help. I plan on ordering the mazar seeds from dutch passion. I think i have enough closet space for 6 plants about 6 feet wide, 3 feet deep and about 8 feet tall. Im in the process of ordering a 400wt MH light for the blue spectrum good for 8 weeks of veg growth and a 10000wt hps for 8 weeks of flowering. I got some good 6.5ph soil. Am i forgetting somthing? Is lighting ok? I want a high thc content and of course high yeald any suggestion on seeds. First time grower so i dont want to pick a strain that is hard to grow my first time out. Thanks for any advice that might help.

Im not sure what nutes to use. I live in japan so co2 container is out of the question its to hard to get. What about dry ice? How much should i use and how often? is this ok instead of co2 tank.

You can use dry ice, just make sure that it is affordable, some places have it cheap, others are not so cheap.
Co2 is not a necessity, if yr not going to use it, just make sure you have good ventilation.
By Nutes, I meant nutrients. I use and like foxfarm. Also I used molasses with very nice results too.

Can i order foxfarm? Cant find it over here. Should i use molasses and foxfarm togather? I was told the molasses is good for flowering, or should i be adding these nutes from the start. Sorry for so many questions but i want as much input as possible in order to do it right.

U should beable to order FoxFarm, but if you can get that threw the mail, why can't you get CO2Boost threw the mail as well? It's not a tank or regulator; it's a plastic tub with mushroom compost with a small aquarium pump on top that dispences the CO2 Before u decide to use CO2, u should do a little research about it. I use Botanicare's line of organics which are available threw the mail. Advanced Nutrients from Canada are great as well. But if you want to grow organic (or not) buy what you have locally and basically follow the directions...nute companies make money by selling product, so they'll tell you to use more than you should (or need to).

I totally agree with that. I know you picked a really good strain. Just be patient, and be forwarned....more than one person I know, refuses to grow and/or smoke it cause they say it's too strong. I know tht sounds hard to believe, but it is true. Also, you might want to try alternating your harvest dates with mazar to see the difference in the type of high you get.
DP advertises it as an "up" type high, but I would never call it an "up" type high, it's more of a "melt into the couch and start drooling" type high. lol

Ok, Im going to order my lights in two days. Do i need a ballast or can i just buy a hps bulb and a mh bulb and a reflecter do the wiring myself and hook it all into a transformer. I guess my question is what does the ballest do.

Ok. im ready to order a switchable ballast. I want a full system with reflecter and mh and hps bulbs. I can not find a company that will ship overseas to japan . can anybody help me find a supplier?

(Green Coast Hydroponics) Thanks Guys. Do i need to use small pots at first then transplant to larger pots? Why couldnt i start with the larger pots?
