new to growing in ebb flow

I am doing an ebb and flow table for my first time. We are growing in clay pebbles. It is a 4x8 table we have 17 plants growing right now all clones. They were planted in rockwool cubs the 1" we then planted them in a pot of clay pebbles close to top . We also had some clones that were a bit bigger that we planted in a bigger pots of rockwool then planted them into clay pebbles on table.We are flooding the table 5 times in a 24 hr period. are we going to have trouble with rockwool not drying out enought? If so how can we get rid of the larger rockwool root base without hurting the plants? How deep should I be flooding my table,should I be getting all the pellets wet or should I leave an inch dry on top.

This is my grow right now the taller plants are the ones with more rockwool on bottom. Picture 2 is the biggest clump or rockwool with roots in it

If you worried about it don't use it. Just put the plants in the rocks.

Fuck me that is so much expanded clay.

I do basically the same method just i use individual buckets with clay pellets.

I use a small net pot with pellets to start then put that net pot in the larger bucket.

@Failmore it is all i had to start my clones with next time i will be using rapid rooters but I am hoping with the the pellets I will not need to repot them and they are in net pots and roots should just carry on growing through the table. Should I be worried about the rockwool ?

I had read lots of complaints about the stuff before so I never used them. Not sure if they will cause problems.

What do I do to the rockwool that is deeper in the pots and not drying out

Shouldn't be a problem,as long as it sits on top of the pebbles not directly on the tray.

You dont think I will run into root rot problems by not letting rockwool dry right out

I've never done clones. No room. I put my tap root directly into the clay pellets.
