NEW to growing..info needed please...

ok i got a few seeds out of good ass homegrown took me months to get 5 seeds an was like ok well ima plant em i got ffof a 2ft shop light with 2 17w t8s i think only 4 of em are gonna germinate but two already popped an have about an inch tail on them i planted them into the ffof mixed 4 to 1 with perlite i got em in plastic cups with holes at bottom an i have the 2 cups for now in a custom contraption jus to help with temp an light which temp im jus runnin warm watever the light brings it to an its on 24/0 rite now till they break out the soil some the light are about 4 an a half inches from cup an 5 an a half from the soil ive watered it wen i planted em an then a lil dribble after but not since its been bout 30 hours how am i doin all info tips comments an honest truth even if its a lil harsh be honest if u kno the tricks teach me hungry for knowledge..

so everyone says this site is great people are helpful well can someone help me out..

your going to need a bigger boat

when i transplant it im goin to make the "boat" but with a big box but is that all u think i mean its a couple of plants light are good?? anything else..

anyone have pointers or info to better my experience of growing? where is everyone????

light isnt strong enough get some cfls. those t8's dont have enough concentrated light what type of fox farms is it?

it fox farm ocean forest an what other lights could i use i need something not to pricy an they said the t8s would be ok while the seedling is growing but wen i re pot it to get diff lights but need help with choice of light

go to target and pick up 3 of the 42w cfls and go get the bulb housings from a local hardware store i recomend getting the y adapter. should run around 30 and go get a timer while your at it

Well your on the right track as stated cfl's do good work try not to water too often untill the plant needed it my plants went for a full week before I had to water again but it depends on pot size no nutes untill 2 weeks start on half strength and some say 24 hours light works but I think plants also love to rest but its up too you

Also monitor your ph to avoid problems and as for lights 5600 k and 6500 k bulbs the blue is for veg and soft white is for flowering

ok i mean its a big closet like 2 feet deep 6 feet long im jus using the floor on one half.. an the closet is empty but im startin small to see how things go. how long should i keep the light i have.. wen do i switch to the 6500k cuz they say the cfl is good for the seedling an sprouting.. an my ph shouldnt it maintain itself with ffof an water sittin out for dayss?

and a small fan? they havent even popped out the ground yet? an ive only watered once wen i put the seedlings in the soil its been 2 days an i had the light on 2 days straight an i jus shut it off at 4 am i was gonna turn back on at 8 am is that good?

um id recommend being very careful using ocean forest. its an excelllent soil but its very hot (nutrient rich) and can burn younger plants typically i plant seeds in ffof light warrior. i would typically put ffof at the bottom inch or so of the cup then fill the rest 3/4 of the way up with light warrior and when it gets its second or third set of true leaves i top dress with the ocean forest again. if your plants start to yellow then its probably nute burn

ok so if they start burnin cuz the nutes what can i do there in plastic cups for now i mean can i transplant into something a lil more easy on the seedling? but on of em sprouted today 3rd day its almost a inch tall i havent watered since i planted the seeds its the 3rd day wen do i water? an thank you so far to everyone an the help provided

well in your set up height is the enemy. height means the plant is stretching so youll get less branch density and less bud per foot. but water when every the soil is dry to the touch. right now with a seedling it shouldnt be drinking much so every 3 days but if you stay in those small containers and those get a lot bigger then they will need to be watered daily because the plant will drink it all. and id add cfls asap to reduce stretching. stretching occurs because the plant is trying to grow up to the light because it isnt getting enough

ohhk well money is tight so for now should i maybe move the light closer so they get more light an stop stretchin an wen i water how much water should i give them?
